Greater Reach Community Services Board

Our mission is to improve the lives of individuals with behavioral health/substance use issues.

District 19 Community Services Board (D19 CSB) is a multi-jurisdictional, community-based organization whose mission is to improve the quality and productivity of the lives of individuals who experience, or are at risk of experiencing, mental disabilities and/or substance abuse. We are licensed by the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services to provide mental health, intellectual disability, substance abuse and prevention services to the citizens of the cities of Colonial Heights, Emporia, Hopewell, and Petersburg, and the counties of Dinwiddie, Greensville, Prince George, Surry, and Sussex. Integrated services are available for adults, children and families through a screening/assessment process. Services are provided directly by staff of District 19 and through contracts with private providers in the community. We are committed to providing behavioral health services to all residents of our catchment area regardless of race, color, sex, age, religion, disabilities or national origin. An appointment will be arranged to discuss your needs and the most appropriate services.

📚✨ We had a fantastic School-Based event on Wednesday at the Petersburg Public Library! A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us — attendees appreciated both the valuable information and the lunch.

Special shoutout to our amazing Children’s Services team for their hard work and preparation that helped make this event such a success! 👏

We were also proud to have our Crisis Team and Region 4 Crisis Programs present important resources and support to families in the community.

The momentum is building — we’re already receiving invites to participate in Back to School Nights and other upcoming events. Let’s keep it going! 💪📘

🚨 Need Support Today? Greater Reach CSB (formerly D19 CSB) offers Same Day Access — Just walk in or call to be seen by a clinician during our service hours.

⏰ Walk‑In Hours (First‑Come, First‑Served):

Petersburg: Monday–Friday, 8:30 am–1 pm

Emporia: Tuesdays, 8:30 am–1 pm

Hopewell/Prince George: Wednesdays, 9 am–1 pm

🧾 Please Bring: Photo ID, Social Security card, insurance information (or proof of income for fee assistance).

📍 Serving Petersburg, Colonial Heights, Emporia, Hopewell, Dinwiddie, Greensville, Prince George, Surry & Suss*x.

Tuesday, Thursday rotating Fridays SDA will be held at CAC Petersburg at 3335 S. Crater Road, Petersburg VA.

Monday, Wednesday and rotating Fridays SDA will be held at CAC Hopewell at 102 S 10th Ave, Hopewell, VA

SDA hours will still be from 8:30 AM to 1 PM daily.
