Counselor spotlight 💫

Hi! My name is Brandon, and I’ve been part of Real Life Counseling for almost two years.

Here’s a little about me:

I was born and raised in Macomb Township about 45 minutes north of Detroit. I received my BA in Psychology from Cornerstone University in 2017 and my MA in Counseling from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary in 2020. I also plan to graduate with a PhD in General Psychology from Liberty University in the spring.

I am a licensed professional counselor, a national certified counselor, and a certified advanced alcohol and drug counselor. I specialize in addiction but work with a range of concerns like anxiety, depression, life stressors/transitions, OCD, and anger. I work mainly with adolescents and adults as well as couples. I use CBT, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy. I also provide part-time clinical support at Bear River Health, and I teach Introductory Psychology at North Central Michigan College in Ga***rd.

I moved to northern Michigan in 2018, and I met and married my wife in 2019. We have two adorable children together, Eli and Evie.
