Open heart meditation group is officially discontinued. 💕

Thank you to everyone who took part in this initiative 🙏 I hope your experiences here were helpful to you in some way.

I still have a strong desire to promote mind, body, spirit practices in this community. But at the moment it is time to pause this group. I may revive this later or possibly find a different way to serve.

I will keep this page alive for now. Possibly it can be a platform for future announcements. God bless you all ❤

Hugs,
Roger

A HEART MEDITATION….

This recalibration and reorganization and reorientation we are going through is a necessary civilization lull because we need more heart in our lives. We are silenced to awaken the Light in one another. So this is a good time to do a Heart Meditation. Very simple; you can do it:

Close your eyes and breathe. Go inward. Travel inside. Go into the silence. Breathe here for a while.

Now as you inhale, bring the breath up from your tailbone to your crown; when you exhale bring the breath down from your crown back down to your tailbone. Do this a few times times. Breath sweeps mind. Now for your next breath, as you are coming down with the breath, stop at the heart and let the Light of the heart illuminate your body. Breathe in and out of the Heart for a while, for a few breaths. Next take that Heart Light right up to your crown; breathe into the crown for a while; Now come down from the crown into your heart again and take a few more breaths and take the Heart Light out to your shoulders and down your arms; now bring your breath back to the heart again and then take another breath and take the Heart Light all the way down to your feet. Now breathe again nice full breaths for a few times into your feet and then bring the breath right up to your heart and let your Heart Light illuminate the entire room. Breathe here for a while; now let your Heart Light illuminate your town; Breathe for a while and now let your Heart Light illuminate the World!

The world has been silenced. Not a time to go outside. Time to travel inside….breathe through your heart for as long as you wish. When the outside world no longer lets us in, then our inner world is calling!

The blessings of the Light World be upon each one of you…

In addition to Insight Timer, there is another meditation app that can be a resource for those who want to continue their practice solo.

It is called Head Space. I don't have personal experience with it, but I have heard good things about it. The premium service is a paid subscription (unlike Insight Timer which is all free).

But for a limited time the premium service is free to healthcare workers. If you qualify and want to take advantage of this offer, here is the like:

Thanks to Tara Simon for sending this to me. 🙏❤🙂

MEDITATION TO SUPPORT YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM
This is a critical time for all of us to stay on top of the game called health. We need to support ourselves in the most
healthy ways possible. I do not know a better way than through meditation. Meditation supports your immune system as the immune system interacts with the central nervous system and your emotions and your glands. It is one big package. And because so many are storing so much diffuse negative emotions over today’s challenges that lead us into many states of imbalance especially a compromised immune system, I want to provide you a very simple meditation that will help keep you in balance:

Sit in a comfortable position with your spine straight, close your eyes, and go inward. Just take a few Breaths to take yourself into the wonderful golden silence within yourself. You do not need to create this silence you merely need to find it within yourself…it is already there…..find it merely by sitting and BEING.

Now close off your right nostril (this will help clean out your right hemisphere which stores negative emotions) with your right index finger. Do this for 3 minutes.

Before you open your eyes at the end of the 3 minutes, inhale and hold. While you hold your breath, interlace your fingers together (all our strengths are interconnected) in front of your thymus gland, just below the throat, about 4 inches away from your body, Try to pull your fingers apart. Resist and create tension. When you feel you must, then exhale. Then inhale and hold your breath and do this 3 more times.

At the end of this meditation, please send love and light to our brother Dr. Roger Gietzen who is on the front line with patients and hold in Light and Love as well our Nurses and ALL hospital staff who are also administering directly to the sick at such a very challenging time. With great risk and love they tend to all our needs.

May you all be protected by our Sun Breath. In Love and Light….know that “corona” means LIGHT and this forced slow down has a purpose. I know that we shall all emerge stronger……I love you.......dr. teri daunter

Open Heart Meditation group is CANCELLED at least until April 12, Easter Sunday. As the Petoskey public library is fully closed, we won't have access to the Carnegie building.

Keep up your meditative practices individually! There is great value in that, especially during times of stress and fear. We can all stay connected in the heart.

Tomorrow from 1-2pm all brave souls (who don't have any symptoms of illness or good reason to believe they are carriers) are welcomed to join me at the Carnegie building for a group meditation.

For the next 3 weeks after that, the library is closed and that space will not be available. I am happy to continue a weekly meditation with any members who wish to.

Just comment below or send a PM to my personal account and we can work out the logistics of when and where.

Hugs,
Roger

MEDITATION

5 MINUTES OF MEDITATION improves blood circulation
10 minute of meditation creates a brain shift from beta to alpha
20 minutes of meditation increases energy
30 minutes of meditation creates subconscious changes
45 minutes of meditation creates a full body balance

Yet beyond all these physiological benefits with meditation, one experiences substantial psychological and emotional and spiritual benefits as well. Meditators become flexible and inner directed and perceive the world more positively and holistically. Meditation has been found unparalleled in its ability to fully develop the unique potential of the individual. It aids a person in becoming more self-sufficient, more spontaneous, more productive, better able to meet life’s challenges and more capable of warm interpersonal relationships.

The United Nations has a Meditation Room. They call it A ROOM OF QUIET…..Our Room of Quiet is the Carnegie Building which is serving us all so well as dedicated to silence in the outward sense and stillness in the inner sense. This is where we open doors to infinite lands We come to fill in the void with what we find in our center of stillness. Sacred, Profound, Perfection.

See you all Sunday. Will be bringing for you some useful articles….be blessed….dr. teri daunter

Thank you to Kimberly who will host this coming Sunday's meditation session and to M Teri who will host the Sunday following that. 👏

I'll be back March 15.

In the meantime, I will be in Haiti, attending to the humanitarian projects that I have been working on since 2015. For those who want to know more about that work, you can check out the page for my small, one man (and many helpers) nonprofit: Global Freedom Project https://www.facebook.com/globalfreedomproject/

Mind control during meditation can be a lot like keeping the kittens off this slide, one thought after another. They keep coming :)

But, be persistent like this momma cat. Keep noticing the thoughts and letting them go. Keep the mind space clear (keep the slide open).
