I am going to try to switch up my eating habits by tracking macros. I am going to try out the app Macros First.
I have some disc issues and I am trying out the treatment Disc decompression right now for 3 months, 5 weeks down and I am starting to feel a little better. However with this treatment the Doctor does not want me to do strength training. Most of you who know me know that I am addicted to exercise and I like to be extremely active. Liking motorized sports the most.
The Dr. has given me stretches I am supposed to do instead. I can ride my stationary bike moderately, but walking is going to be my main source of exercise. Ironic as walking is the hardest for me to do right now. 😫
I am also not working at the moment.
With that being said, my caloric burn has taken a huge plunge and I need to focus more on diet than exercise to burn calories to loose the extra pounds I picked up while being sedentary. My dog also has picked up weight. 🤦♀️
She is on a special diet herself and is accompanying me on my walks and trips to the chiropractor. It’s a 45 minute drive one way, so we have lots of music jam time and we share carrots and broccoli on the way. 🤣
I did do a change in my lifestyle as well by eliminating alcohol. Alcohol free for 5 1/2 months now. It’s crazy how drinking a glass of wine or having a beer was important on choosing our restaurant, going on the boat, snowmobile destinations, camping etc.
I made it through all the holidays, my birthday, life crises, and triggers that made me say I want a glass of wine now. 🤣
Boating and camping still haven’t tackled yet. 😉It’s going to be a Mocktail kind of summer. Fortunately my daughters are also on a similar lifestyle change as well which makes it way easier to maintain. 😊
It’s amazing how much happier and more focused I am. However, I still see squirrels.
