Essence Healing Arts Centre, a massage therapy collaborative business, opened it's doors 11.4.13. The group is comprised of experienced, licensed massage therapists with an eclectic array of specialties; aesthetician (skin) services; and physical therapy services. Essence is located at 353 Forest Grove, Suite # 101, in Pewaukee. Kathy Rink, licensed massage therapist, has been in active practice since 1991, the last 16 years in the Pewaukee area. She integrates several soft tissue release techniques in her healing sessions, such as strain-counterstrain (a passive positional technique that arrests muscle spasm, allowing the muscle to “reset” to a more normal resting length) , myofacial release (connective tissue release), neuromuscular therapy, along with Reiki. Dana Zillmer is a certified Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor, licensed massage therapist, Reiki Master teacher, and certified Medicinal aromatherapist. She has been active in her healthcare practice in Pewaukee since 2002. She offers a truly unique wellness and bodywork practice offering healing on many levels. Kellie Lewis, a licensed massage therapist, has been practicing massage therapy for 12 ½ years in the Pewaukee area. She specializes in Deep Tissue. Integrative Manual Physical Therapy LLC - Services are provided by Sue Smith PT, CFMT, CMTPT/DN with a unique integrative whole body system approach to evaluation and treat. Sue has over 30 years of experience as a physical therapist treating patients across the lifespan. She has certifications in functional manual therapy and trigger point dry needling. Specialty areas include: Dry needling for relief of muscle trigger point pain, limited mobility, and inefficient muscle contractions; Nasal release technique - used for post concussion symptoms, previous history of facial/head fractures, headaches, sinus issues, and breathing airway difficulties. Pelvic floor for urinary urgency/incontinence, constipation, pelvic pain, coccyx (tailbone) pain. Visceral mobilization effective adherences/scar tissue caused by previous abdominal/chest surgeries, digestive difficulties, and abdominal pain. Cranial/TMJ for relief of headaches, facial pain, TMJ dysfunction. Vagus nerve facilitation used to help dysregulation of the autonomic nervous system, post COVID symptoms.
