This month, I’m celebrating the creativity and heart behind small businesses! 🌟 As a small business owner, I know how much love goes into every creation, and I want to shine a spotlight on some amazing makers I’ve met and discovered. Some I’ve met while vending (and ended up buying from!), a few I know personally, others I’ve supported as an attendee, and the rest I’ve discovered along the way. I’ll be featuring one small business a day 🤞🏼, so stay tuned for a new favorite to discover—and maybe find some new businesses to support too!

A 70% chance of rain stopped me from signing up for a market this Saturday — one I was really relying on. And wouldn’t you know it? The rain never came 😮‍💨

Owning a small business like mine isn’t always easy, and making calls like that can hit hard. It’s one of those moments where you have to take a deep breath and remind yourself to just keep swimming. I’d rather play it safe than risk any damage, even if it means missing out sometimes.

If you’ve ever had a day like that — where things didn’t go as planned — just remember to keep going with your head held high. There’ll always be more chances ahead.

A small moment that reminded me why I love what I do. At my last market, I mentioned to a customer that I hammer out every single leather and vegan leather earring by hand — and she looked so surprised!
Once I explained, the look of awe on her face was so rewarding. Every shape you see starts with me and my hammer. Would it be easier with a machine press? Sure. But those (and the dies) are pricey — so for now, I hammer.

Next up on my 'To Do' list is working on these new oval pendants with a cute flower frame and these absolutely adorable little frogs. You'll find these at my markets next month. October market lineup is coming soon so be on the lookout.

Well, I've hit a bump in the road. Such is the small business life. Vegan leather I've recently bought can't be used and the same thing for an order of pendants 😮‍💨 Gotta rally and figure things out before my first fall vending event next month but at least I was able to make these new beauties. The lighting in my house is not doing these colors justice.
