Windsor Las Palmas Nursing and Rehabilitation Center We provide short and long-term skilled nursing care that helps older adults achieve true wellness. We are a non-profit, and that’s an important difference.

Our focus is on strengthening the families and communities we care for. Post-operative care, Wound Care, IV Therapy, and an in-house rehabilitation team are some services that make our facility different. Unlike others who contract their therapists, we have an in-house therapy team. This means our goal is to have patients and residents see the same occupational, speech, or physical therapists daily, which builds a strong line of trust and rapport.

Today, we celebrated National Tequila Day! 🍹 Residents enjoyed refreshing margarita mocktails along with cherries, lemon, and cheese. The afternoon was filled with great music from Vicente Fernández—bringing a little taste of the land of tequila right here to McAllen! 🎶

🧠 Today is World Brain Day! We’re taking a moment to highlight the many ways we can support brain health, especially as we age. We encourage patients and residents to stay engaged through activities such as puzzles, reading, and group discussions. Daily movement, such as gentle stretching or walking, helps keep both the body and brain strong.

A healthy diet, adequate sleep, social connections, and effective management of chronic conditions are vital for maintaining cognitive health. For aging adults, social activity promotes independence and improves quality of life. Regular medical check-ups help in the early detection of cognitive issues, such as mild cognitive impairment and dementia.

🎉 We've got something BIG to celebrate — Blanca is officially a CNA! 🩺💙

She started her journey in our Environmental Department as a Laundry Aide, then moved into a Hospitality Aide role with her sights set on becoming a CNA. After completing our Nurse Aide in Training Program, becoming a Dwyer Workforce Development Scholar, and passing her state exams, she's now living her dream!
