HI everyone,
Classes are canceled for me Thursday and Friday. I have had a mold exposure that has led to illness. I hope to be back by Saturday and see you next week. So sorry!

Let's take a moment to talk about something really important—how our brains work with our thoughts and feelings. Imagine your brain is like a garden, and every thought or feeling you have is like a path that leads to that garden. Now, the more you walk down a certain path, the more worn-in and easy to follow it becomes. This is how neuropathways in our brain work.

With repeated use, these pathways can become your brain's default setting. They start to form the automatic themes of your life, shaping how you see the world and how you see yourself. Over time, these thought patterns can become hardwired into your brain, making it more difficult to think or feel differently.

For example, if you frequently experience self-doubt, your brain becomes very efficient at doubting yourself. That pathway gets used so often that it might start to feel like who you are—as if self-doubt is just a part of your identity. The same goes for other emotions like fear or anger. If these emotions dominate your thoughts, they can become the lens through which you view your entire life.

But just like we can strengthen these paths, we can also let them grow over with new, healthier ones. The brain has an incredible ability to change, a concept known as neuroplasticity. If you start to consciously engage in new, more positive thoughts and emotions, you can begin to create new pathways. Over time, these positive pathways can become stronger, while the old, negative ones weaken from lack of use.

This is why being mindful and practicing positive thinking is so powerful. It’s not about pretending everything is perfect, but about choosing to nurture the paths in our brain that lead to joy, peace, and confidence. It takes time, and it’s okay to stumble, but with each step, you’re reshaping your brain, creating a more beautiful, peaceful garden in your mind.

The key takeaway is that our brains are constantly evolving based on the thoughts and emotions we engage in.
