“I can’t meditate. My mind won’t stop thinking.” “How can I be mindful when I have so much to do?” We’ll explore these and other questions in an afternoon workshop introducing mindfulness and meditation as practices to cultivate full,
open hearted presence in our daily lives. The workshop will have time for instruction and guided meditation, time for discussion and Q&A, and time for a little mindful movement.

Topics will include:
*What is Mindfulness: How can we be present to see things as they really
are?
*Being Fully Human: Mindfulness of emotions
*The Wise Heart: Cultivating metta (loving kindness), joy, compassion, and equanimity
*Bringing Practice Into Your World: Practical ways to find presence throughout your day
The workshop will be led by Ira Richards. Ira has been studying and practicing mindfulness and meditation with roots in the Insight tradition for many years.
