Ways to engage your senses to signal to your nervous system that you’re safe:

- Place your hand on your belly, breathe in focusing on the rise of your hand, breath out focused on the fall of your hand

- Grab a cup of something warm and focus on how the warmth feels against your hands

- Squeeze and try to smell the different scents in the aromatherapy combinations

- Do a slow body scan from head to toe, noticing tension or warmth without trying to fix it​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

- Close your eyes and label all the different sounds you can hear in the room around you
