We’re so proud to have hosted the 2025 Susan D. Flynn Oncology Nursing Fellowship—a special, immersive 8-week summer program designed to inspire and develop the next generation of oncology nurses! 🌟

This year, we welcomed eight rising senior BSN students who had the unique opportunity to dive deep into the multifaceted world of oncology nursing. Through hands-on experiences in medical and surgical oncology, infusion services, palliative care, radiation therapy, and more, our Flynn Fellows gained a comprehensive understanding of the vital role oncology nurses play within the interdisciplinary care team. 💉🩺💙

Beyond clinical observation, the fellows engaged in educational forums and worked closely with experienced oncology nurse mentors to complete Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) projects. These projects allowed them to explore and evaluate real-world nursing practices, culminating in presentations to HUP leadership. 🎓📊

We are incredibly proud of our Flynn Fellows for their hard work, passion, and commitment throughout this journey. We can’t wait to welcome them back as PRN Student Nursing Assistants as they continue their path toward becoming the oncology nursing leaders of tomorrow! 👏✨
