Inducing lactation and learning to feed this person is teaching me so much. It’s already informing the way I practice medicine and treat babies and parents, from biomechanics and biochemistry to the cellular experience of huge emotions and transitions. Every day it increases my reverence for the human body.

Know any babies with crooked heads? Torticollis is a whole body issue so requires a whole body approach. This baby’s neutral posture at week 1 (left) and week 5 (right) following osteopathic treatment. Early intervention prevents these restrictions from impacting milestones like rolling over, reaching/grasping, and crawling that are crucial for brain development.
