The Philadelphia Department of Public Health (PDPH), in partnership with the Philadelphia Defender's Association, will host a series of expungement clinics for HIV+ Philadelphians. The next clinic will take place in West Philadelphia on Thursday, October 23rd, from 1 pm to 4 pm at the Blanche A. Nixon Cobbs Creek Library. The event will be located in the basement of the building with its own entrance. This free and confidential clinic is the second in a quarterly series of expungement clinics. This event offers one-on-one support from legal experts to help participants navigate the expungement process and reclaim their futures.
PDPH will also be partnering with the office of Substance Use Prevention and Harm Reduction to offer Naloxone at this event. Free training in how to use Naloxone to save lives will be provided. Whether you have been previously trained or are looking to be a better safety resource to your neighbors, community, and fellow Philadelphians, knowing how to administer Naloxone is an invaluable skill.
Members from the Office of HIV Planning will also be providing resources and referrals to care.

International Pronoun Day, observed on the third Wednesday of October, aims to make sharing, respecting, and understanding personal pronouns commonplace within both professional and social contexts. Utilizing correct pronouns demonstrates respect for individuals and supports the creation of inclusive environments.
To minimize instances of misgendering and increase awareness of diverse gender identities, include your pronouns in your email signatures, and/or your virtual profiles. Additionally, providing opportunities for others to share their pronouns—particularly during introductions—can further foster inclusivity.
