Yep.. we’re getting back to the basics girls 🙂‍↕️ A lot of the time, we set these big goals for ourselves and after a day or two we lose motivation and go back to our old ways, feeling shame and guilt for not having enough discipline to follow through.⁣

𝙏𝙧𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝙞𝙨, 𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙬𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙝𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙩𝙨 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙𝙣’𝙩 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙖𝙮.⁣ 🌱

If anyone tells you to start your health journey by overhauling your diet, routine, you should question it. It doesn’t work that way for the average person.

Instead, approach it with ease. Over time, add healthier habits into your every day routine until it feels ✨normal✨

No force, only flow is what I say. That’s how habits stick.⁣

I created this simple guide to remind you (and myself) that you have everything you need to get started today. No more excuses, no more waiting. Small, incremental steps each day lead to accomplishing bigger goals over time. Key word 👉🏾 over time.⁣

Also, I learned that the more you honor your personal commitments to yourself, the better, more productive and more confident you’ll feel inside.⁣


Research shows you can develop new habits in just 21 days, so I’m using the rest of this month to get back into a solid routine and would love for you to join me! 🗓️⁣

During menstruation, your hormones are already fluctuating — and guess what... caffeine and sugar could be making symptoms WORSE. 🩸🌸

Specifically, caffeine consumption on an empty stomach can stimulate the release of cortisol and cause blood sugar fluctuations. 😵‍💫

An 80/20 lifestyle has worked for me so I’d recommend it to anyone looking to create more structure in their wellness journey and develop better habits.⁣⁣⁣

It means 80% of what I eat is homemade, whole foods or not a packaged food item (ultra processed). The other 20% I reserve for takeout, outings and celebrations, and vacation. It helps keep me on track and accountable without compromising on my enjoyment.⁣⁣⁣

Food is one of the most powerful ways to support your cycle naturally and those are my go-to’s.

Here are some tips:

✨ Incorporate these foods into your meals regularly
✨ Maintain a balanced diet by eating more whole foods than ultra-processed foods
✨ Remember, always consult with a healthcare provider or practitioner for personalized advice. What works for one person, may not work for you

These are some items I picked up (and other cool things I saw) during my trip to this weekend.

A lot of these items are going to be used for meal prep this week. Plus, I got a new Italian chocolate cookie snack to try for movie night.

Other items:
- kiwi: fiber and vitamin c
- kale: sauté for meal prep and dinners
- blackberries: on sale, for yogurt bowls
- hummus: for healthy snacking (first time trying Aldi hummus)
- freeze dried strawberries: on sale, want to add to drinks & homemade iced teas
- poppi: first time seeing Arctic Blast flavor!
- arugula: add to sandwiches and salads
- ground turkey: homemade sausages and meal prep
- brownie almond protein bars: first time trying
- oatmeal lotion: great neutral lotion free of phthalates and parabens ✨great option for supporting hormone balance✨
