It’s been pretty quiet over here and now you know why!!!!

Our family is relocating to the Denver Metro area early this summer! We are very excited about our new adventure but that also means Speak Play Grow will be taking a small break while our family transitions into this new adventure.

Model what you want to see & hear all the time, not just in the moment!

This goes for verbal language like saying "thank you," and "bless you" to nonverbal gestures like putting your hands "up" to be picked up, waving goodbye and covering a cough/sneeze with your elbow/tissue.

It's all fun and games until you get silly and let your little put a sticker on your watch.

In reality, this was so fun! We took turns hiding stickers and talking about where they were. I didn't even know my son had hid the sticker on my watch when it happened! Take advantage of the small moments and make them language-enriched: build language with descriptors and labels. Hide things and help each other find them. Practice turn-taking concepts, as well as, setting boundaries & comfort with others with statements like "I'm not comfortable with it on my watch," because in reality, that sticker was hard to get off and maybe you don't want it there at all!
