We recently had the chance to bring yerba mate to live TV on Positively Philly on PHL17 🙌🧉

Walking through the tradition, the ritual, and sharing that first sip with Abby and Rachel was an incredible experience.

These are the moments we love, introducing more people to yerba mate and the connection behind it.

Each one is handmade by Ildikó Károlyi in her Budapest studio, where small details in the process create subtle variations that make every piece unique. When the kiln opens after hours of firing, the final form is revealed.⁠

Rooftop soccer, great energy, and cold brew yerba mate in Philadelphia ⚽️🧉☀️

Today we joined CASA Soccer League for the first day of their Spring Beginner Soccer 101 and 102 sessions at Friends Select School.

Players worked on skills, played small-sided games, and wrapped up the day with 5v5 on an amazing rooftop field in the city.

We were there serving cold brew Salta Sunrise from the Yerba Crewser, and even Phang from the Philadelphia Union stopped by.

It was such a good reminder of what we love about this. Soccer, community, and simple moments that bring people together.

Thanks to CASA for having us out. Looking forward to more this season.

Sharing mate has its own unwritten rules 🧉⁠

If you are new to yerba mate, these simple traditions help keep the yerba flowing and make the experience more enjoyable for everyone.⁠

Here are a few classic mate rules to know⁠
⁠
🧉 Drink all the water from the mate gourd before passing it back⁠
🧉 Do not move the bombilla once it is set⁠
🧉 The cebador controls the rhythm of the circle⁠
🧉 Only say “thank you” when you are completely done drinking for the session⁠
🧉 Always pass the mate back to the cebador (host)⁠
🧉 Respect the ritual and enjoy the moment⁠

What an awesome day at the Women’s Empowerment Cup ⚽️

From a bright and early kickoff all the way through the late afternoon, the energy at the tournament was incredible!

Players competing, friends and families cheering, and a full day of community through the game.

We had a great time serving yerba mate and our Salta Sunrise cold brew, cruising around the fields with the Yerba Crewser, meeting new people, and seeing a lot of familiar faces throughout the day.

Huge thanks to and for organizing and supporting such a great event.

And a special congratulations to Ragers FC .fc for winning the Fair Play Award. This award is voted on by the other teams and players and recognizes the squad that represents the best sportsmanship and spirit of the tournament.

Already looking forward to the rest of the year and next year’s Women’s Empowerment Cup.

Hosted by CASA Soccer League, this inclusive 5v5 tournament brings together women, non-binary athletes, and allies for a full day of competition, representation, and community. Proceeds support SAFE-HUB Philadelphia and the Women’s Inclusive Scholarship Fund.

We’ll be there serving cold brew yerba mate, honoring award winners with custom engraved gourds, and celebrating grassroots soccer in Philadelphia.
