Ladies, make a difference w/family, community or the world by engaging & getting involved this March for Women's History Month and International Women's Day Sunday, March 8th, 2026. Research has shown helping others indirectly uplifts, empowers & betters our own spirit & overall health besides the recipients. Its a win-win, natural mood & health fix. That said, women continue to need to be reminded to fill their cup and put themselves first so they can care and do for others.

An invitation to all --Please help us celebrate and acknowledge International Women’s Day Sunday March 8th and Women’s History Month during the entire month of March as we pause to honor the courage, resilience, and brilliance of women throughout history—while recommitting ourselves to the work that still lies ahead. From the suffragists who fought tirelessly for the right to vote to the modern leaders shaping policy, science, business, and culture, women have transformed societies across the globe.

Here in the United States, milestones like the passage of the 19th Amendment and the ongoing leadership of women in public office reflect progress born of persistence.
Globally, organizations such as United Nations continue to recognize women’s social, political, and economic importance, reminding us that when women rise, communities and nations thrive. The story of women’s progress is one of both triumph, setbacks, patience and tenacity. Women have entered and excelled in fields once closed to them—medicine, law, government, science, and entrepreneurship—reshaping what leadership looks like and expanding what is possible for future generations. Yet even today, women continue to navigate social, political, and financial barriers. Pay inequity, disparities in healthcare access, and underrepresentation in decision-making spaces remain real challenges. International Women’s Day is not only a celebration of how far we have come, but also a call to action to continue breaking down these barriers with wisdom, collaboration, and unwavering resolve.

As a Board-Certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner of a Holistic Health and Wellness Practice in Philadelphia, I am deeply inspired by the strength, and “super wisdom women bring to every aspect of life. Women are caregivers, innovators, healers, advocates, and leaders. Our intuition and lived experiences hold tremendous value—especially in healthcare. For too long, women’s voices have been minimized in conversations about their own bodies. Today, we are reclaiming that narrative. We are insisting on care that listens, respects, and empowers.

Our Holistic and Women’s Empowerment Health Practice is rooted in the belief that true wellness encompasses the mind, body, and spirit. By integrating Western, evidence-based medicine with Eastern, Asian, and Native American healing modalities, we offer a comprehensive approach to gynecological and overall women’s health. This integrative model honors both science and tradition—bridging the best of modern medical research with time-honored healing practices. It is a reflection of women’s own multidimensional strength: practical yet intuitive, grounded yet visionary. When women are empowered with knowledge about their bodies and supported in their total well-being, they are better equipped to thrive personally, professionally, and spiritually.

This International Women’s Day and Month, let us celebrate not only the historic accomplishments of women, but also the limitless potential that remains. Let us champion policies that protect women’s health, advocate for equity in every sphere, and support one another in dismantling the financial and social barriers that persist. Most importantly, let us remember that women’s power is not something to be granted—it is something we already possess. Together, through compassionate care, informed advocacy, and collective empowerment, we can continue shaping a world where every woman is seen, heard, healthy, and whole.

Ladies, This is why you want to choose to see a small credible telemedicine provider or BETTER YET, AN IN PERSON PROVIDER either in and out of network,(WHICH WILL GENERALLY COST LESS THAN MIDI AND GIVE BETTER QUALITY EVIDENCED BASED CARE) - where you will get more individualized, personal care regarding menopause. Buyer beware of MIDi or any company upselling unnecessary lab and blood tests, weight loss meds when not indicated and oodles of unnecessary supplements bilking women out of millions of dollars. Go to a clinician that see's patients for the right reasons and has invested their heart, soul and spirit in helping women make evidenced based healthcare choices and empowering them and not pushing/selling guilting women into this crap.

Please read this link post by Jen Gunther well known OG/GYN MD and patient advocate about "Midi" a company that proposes to be a convenient health advocate for women's health and menopause on line care especially for those in rural areas. It is venture capital owned with seed money and now valued at over one million dollars and probably be sold soon for way more than that and scaled. This article addresses Midi's improper insurance billing, pushing non necessary monthly visits in order to obtain medications (totally not necessary)BUYER BEWARE. Come see us in Philly. We are what you see. Find out more at womenwisehealthcare.com

https://open.substack.com/pub/vajenda/p/midi-health-is-valued-at-1-billion?utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=email

Is that really a win for women or just for MIDI investors?

Hello Ladies, Happy February.! The days are getting longer and hopefully with less darkness, our moods are getting lighter.

While this is Valentines day month, if you don't have a significant other, you don't have to feel left out and can change your interpretation of this holiday. You can give and express some self love and pamper yourself inexpensively with a bubble bath, a good book, fabulous music and candles. We can't healthfully love anyone else if we don't know how to truly love and appreciate ourselves. Take time to nurture yourself this month. Get your 7 hours of sleep eat well and don't forget some dark chocolate which is an antioxidant and heart healthy!! Exercise at least 30 minutes a day(preferable outside) It's good for your heart, mind and spirit.

Also, as you all know, the symbol of love is the heart and this is also heart disease awareness month so wear plenty of red. It's important to know your risk and more importantly, your family history. FYI, You can still have a heart attack or stroke even as young person in your 20's . Know your numbers, know your blood pressure , know your cholesterol, know your family history and know your risk. It can and will help define your health and life's journey Hormone's such as birth control pills (and pregnancy too) can also increase cardiovascular risk especially if you smoke. Choosing the right contraceptive method regarding risk factors and tolerance and life style issues is very important The most important factor is to be safe. Most pills these days are very very low dose and are very safe to use in non smokers. In fact getting pregnant is a greater risk for stroke and heart attack than using birth control pills. Finally, knowing your numbers regarding your blood pressure and cholesterol and family history are key.

We look forward to seeing you in early March when we open and invite you to come in to discuss the most comfortable, desirable and safe contraceptive methods that might be right for you!. Even if you are not in need or birth control, some women need hormones to regulate their menstrual cycles. Even if you need neither of these, come check us out for your well woman exam . We also want to ensure that the rest of your health is great and that your blood pressure and cholesterol are within normal limits.

We look forward to seeing you in early March to educate you and empower you to make your best health care decisions for you and live your healthiest and happiest life. It would be our honor and privilege to be part of your health care journey.

Be heart healthy and wise in your life's daily choices ladies.

Nameste and blessings to all.....
