Today Bebashi is participating in National HIV Testing Day, offering rapid HIV testing, in collaboration with DKBmed, at ESPM Hair Zone at 5929 W. Girard Avenue in West Philadelphia from 10 am to 2 pm.

This collaboration is part of Fade Out HIV: Barber and Clinician Outreach in Philadelphia, which seeks to serve Black communities disproportionately affected by HIV. Get tested and know your status.

Even the heat and the rain couldn’t dampen the joy and celebration at the Juneteenth party at Malcolm X Park yesterday, where Bebashi was exhibiting and offering mobile HIV testing.

Juneteenth is a day of remembrance, resilience, and celebration of Black freedom and culture. It commemorates the moment when freedom finally reached the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas on June 19, 1865,—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

The Bebashi offices are closed today for the Juneteenth holiday, but will reopen tomorrow, Friday, June 20.
