Incorporating social history into genealogical research can help expand the stories of ancestors. In the latest issue of APG Quarterly, author Gena Philibert-Ortega looks at ways to use social history to understand records, visualize the past, and use historical publications. She also provides a helpful list of free websites and finding aids for social history sources.

Members can read this article and the rest of the March 2023 issue of APGQ by logging in at apgen.org and going to Publications> APGQ Archive.

A fabulous time was had by all yesterday! From the great food at the Commonwealth Kitchen to the wonderful tour at the LancasterHistory center, our members thoroughly enjoyed their time together and the opportunity to take a deep dive into the almost 300 year historical records available at the LancasterHistory center.
Thank you to our hosts and to our members for making it such a great event! We love our members! They are always willing to learn more to promote genealogy and their small businesses!
