Pharmacogenomic (PGx) testing predicts the body's response to medications based on the person's DNA🧬. I am specially trained to interpret PGx results and make recommendations. As a clinical pharmacist, I am specially trained to manage medication therapy (Medication Therapy Management -- MTM) and disease states and have over twenty-five years' experience doing so. Clinical pharmacists are the only health care providers (HCPs) with the expertise required for PGx interpretations/recommendations and MTM. Both have been shown to decrease time to optimal therapy, adverse effects, hospitalizations🏥, & cost💸; & to increase medication adherence, safety, & quality of life. Both are covered by Medicare (Part B & some Part C) & Medicaid with no out-of-pocket expenses in many cases. I am excited to work with providers, patients, & consulting companies.
