Please join us in congratulating Rob Wetherington, Director of Community Inclusion and Advocacy, on his 14-year work anniversary at Pathways to Housing PA!

Rob has been with Pathways for a long time and has played an important role in shaping our Community Inclusion and Advocacy work. He started in outreach, helped build the department as it grew, and has led the team for over a decade with a steady, thoughtful approach that centers participant choice, dignity, and community connection. He is also our resident DJ at participant events, a role he takes very seriously. 🎧 We are very grateful to have Rob on our team!

Thank you, Rob, for 14 years of leadership and commitment to our mission and those we serve!

On January 11th, the Philadelphia Furniture Bank was thrilled to host more than 100 volunteers from the PCMA Convening Leaders 2026 conference. In addition, the PCMA Foundation presented a $10,000 check to Pathways to Housing PA! Volunteers helped us build furniture, prepped and cleaned appliances for client usage, sorted books and other items for a future thrift store, and painted our new volunteer space. We are incredibly grateful for PCMA's generous gift and for everyone who volunteered with us!

Many of our participants have shared how isolating chronic homelessness can be, especially when they feel unseen. At Pathways to Housing PA, relational care means showing up, answering the phone, checking in, and being there when it matters. As we head into a new year, we’re reflecting on the people who are in our corner in our own lives, and how much it means to know someone is there.

James is a self-described "car guy" and has always enjoyed cars. We had the pleasure of chatting with him last month, where he reminisced on his younger days of racing cars and fixing them up. Driving represents freedom for him, and getting his license back is one of his biggest goals right now. James was also highly appreciative of his team, especially Jasmine and Candace. He credits them for showing up consistently, keeping him motivated, and taking the time to listen. Their support has helped James feel more focused and confident as he works toward the goals he’s set for himself.

Please join us this Thursday, December 18th from 4:30pm - 7pm at the Arch Street Meeting House to recognize Homeless Persons Memorial Day. Homeless Persons Memorial Day is a national event that takes place on or around 12/21, the first day of winter and the longest night of the year. Since the early 1990s, Philadelphia advocates, providers, and people with lived experience have gathered each year locally to remember those we have lost and recommit to ending homelessness in our city.

CALL EXTENDED: Calling all Philly artists and designers! We are accepting applications to participate in our upcoming Furnished for Good event and auction in Spring 2026. This year's theme, Rest & Resilience, reflects on both the power of rest and the strength it takes to keep going. Selected artists will create or donate works for our one-of-a-kind auction, which raises funds to support Pathways to Housing PA’s mission to end homelessness in Philadelphia.

The call closes on January 2nd, 2026. Artists can participate in a variety of ways, including upcycling a piece of furniture from the Philadelphia Furniture Bank, creating original artwork, designing wearable art, donating existing pieces, or producing live art during the event.
