Congratulations to Dr. Eiss for receiving this award from the Pennsylvania Optometric Association!
The Dr. Jerry Davidoff Memorial award is given to individuals who have made significant contributions to the advancement of optometry at the state and national levels, who has demonstrated not only high moral character and professionalism, but also an extended willingness to assist in the professional growth of their colleagues, and good leadership skills, consistent with their dedication to our profession.
Over the years, Dr. Steven Eiss has shown just that and the POA Board of Directors wished to recognize it.
Dr. Eiss embodies the essence of this recognition, through unwavering dedication to advancing the profession of optometry, time spent leading as President and Board members of both the Bucks-Montgomery Optometric Society and the POA, and chairing the American Optometric Association’s Third Party Center Executive Committee for an impressive seven years—well beyond the expected four-year term. In a display of deep commitment to the strengthening the profession and his state association, Dr. Eiss has also been a member of the Nominating and Evaluating Committee, which puts forth and pursues ideal candidates for Board service and volunteering, building the future of our profession one optometrist at a time.
