Good Morning Everyone. It’s been awhile since I’ve posted any updates. First let’s start pit with my dog Bailey. Thank you to everyone who reached out. Bailey had her left a**l gland sac removed because of a large grape sized malignant tumor that was discovered 2 weeks prior. We are not pursuing any oncology. She is 12 years old and we are just going to continue giving her the best life. She is tolerated everything amazingly well. She hated the cone and could not even walk with it
On. Sue spent 1.25 on a pool noodle and fashioned a collar for her that works and is much more comfortable.
Thank you everyone for my birthday wishes 2 weeks ago. Happy to be here to celebrate 60 years!!!
Update on me and Sidney. Things had been going well and then about a week or so I started to retain fluid in my legs and my lungs. They are trying different medications. I had a weight gain because of the fluids. My numbers have dropped for kidney function and my creatinine has increased. Saturday I had a Doppler ultrasound of my transplanted and native kidney hoping to get results on Monday. Hoping they can figure out what’s going on and get me back on track.
I’m still off work. The doctors have decided I can go back 8/14 but on a restricted schedule of half days. Because I’m only getting half my pay and still have trips to Philly( I go there on Monday) and Reading, co pays for all the medication and appointments, Mike and Lanna Storeman have graciously offered to donate their time and expertise with a chicken BBQ to help cover those costs till I’m back to work full time. You may remember they use to own Freedom BBQ. The BBQ is on August 19th and attached
Is the flyer. You can pick up at Mike
And Lanna’s address where the BBQing will be happening. Their address is
On the flyer or you can pick up after 12 at Kreut Creek VFW. You need
To pre order. There are many ways to pay. Venmo, PayPal or cash. I will gladly come masked to pick up your money for chicken. All EMS, 911, Fire and Law Enforcement we will deliver
To those of you who are on duty. Please let either myself, Lanna Smith Storeman, Jessica Love Iacono or Jen Kissick know. We’ll make arrangements. Thank you to everyone who has been supporting this journey. Funny thing is I thought the surgery was the hard part. That couldn’t be farther from the truth. That was the easiest part. Worrying about rejection is the hard part. You become so conscious of every sneeze or cough you hear and even though
You’re masked you run the opposite direction as fast as you can. Once again thank you…each and every one of you for your support. I love you all.
