It’s an amazing and empowering lifestyle decision that anyone can make. I believe in finding the pleasurable side of fitness; and while there may be a sore muscle or two along the way, the benefits of fitness are worth the challenge. Pilates scissor kicks are a, supine core-strengthening exercise that targets the abdominals, hip flexors, and hamstrings by alternating straight-leg stretches. Strength & Stability: This exercise stabilizes the pelvis and strengthens the deep abdominal muscles.

Tuesdays I will be adding the 9:00am Reformer Flow 2.0 to my schedule and then starting the first Monday in May my 7:00am Reformer Flow 2.0 will be changing to a level 2.5!! (Reminder you must be approved to take 2.0 and 2.5 level classes)

CONTROL IS A FUSION CLASS OFFERED AT CLIB PILATES - join me Wednesdays at 9:00am for Control Level 2.0!! Focus: Designed to sculpt and tone, often referred to as “Pilates on your feet” at the Springboard.
Intensity: A challenging, higher-tempo class (1.5 level) that emphasizes stability, endurance, and balance.
Components: Incorporates Barre-style exercises, small pulses, and traditional Pilates principles for a “thigh-on-fire” workout.
Equipment: Uses the Reformer, Springboard, hand weights, and gliders to increase strength and coordination

Vintage Contortionist Performance

This vintage performance has it all- incredible transitions, amazing backbending, creative choreography, and more. I feel like I could watch it all day.

When I look at vintage films like this, its interesting to consider that this type of performance was a main form of entertainment so many decades ago, and how entertainment as a whole has changed so much over time. It feels like, as a society, our expectations of what is in front of us has deteriorated. But at the same time, if most people didn’t want it I guess they wouldn’t show it to us in the first place. This is one reason why I have been on a TV hiatus for years now.
