At Simpson House, the Gardening Connections program has become a cherished addition to the Life Enrichment calendars, fostering community bonds through shared horticultural experiences. Taking place twice a month in both Flanagan, our skilled nursing community, and Wesley Commons, our Personal Care community, this program is a collaborative effort between our Life Enrichment team and the enthusiastic members of our Garden Club from independent living. The highlight of this month's session was a delightful exploration of the Scarborough Fair theme, where participants engaged in a nostalgic discussion about this historic event led by Barbara Rideout. Herbs like parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme, lovingly cultivated on campus, were passed around, allowing everyone to enjoy their aromatic qualities. The session concluded on a harmonious note with Bruce McNeel serenading the group with a guitar performance of "Scarborough Fair," leaving everyone with smiles and fond memories.
