Our office will be closed between December 25 and January 2nd to allow our staff to spend the holidays with their families. You will still be able to reach us by phone, email, and our contact form, but response times may be delayed.

We are happy to end 2020 on a very positive note. Thanks to you, our effort to get masks out into our community has been a massive success! Over 400 washable cloth masks have been provided free of charge. During the past four months, your generosity has also raised funds for the Trevor Project, Child's Play and Morris Animal Refuge, which our office has matched.

We appreciate each and every one of our patients and wish you all a wonderful holiday season and a very happy New Year!

Over the summer months we partnered with The Space Philadelphia to bring some color and life into the office by changing our waiting area into a miniature gallery. If you have been in recently, you may have seen some of their wonderful work. We will be rotating in another local artist next week but look forward to welcoming The Space back again soon!

Spooky season is here and we are celebrating by offering complimentary themed masks! Sugar skulls, black cats and ghosts are among the mix. Any donations this month will benefit the Morris Animal Refuge. With your support we were able to set a new record in September, raising funds for the Trevor Project!

We are proud to have been able to have provide over 250 stylish cloth masks to our patients and community over the past 5 months!

These will always be complimentary, but if you chose to make a donation, we will match it (up to $250) to a charity close to our hearts. Last month we raised money for Child's Play while in September all proceeds will be going to the The Trevor Project.

We appreciate your generosity and are happy to make a difference together!

We continue to follow the guidance of the PA. Dept. of Health and wellness/preventative care is now available. If you have had a wellness appointment or check-up canceled since March 13th we are happy to reschedule at this time. Appointments are still being spaced out, but we will be returning to our normal Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday schedule on June 1st. Until then, please call or e-mail for availability. Our commitment to operating our office as safely as possible is unchanged as we transition to a slow return to normal.

It has been a tough April, but Academy Chiropractic remains open for those who need us. Our reduced hours and modified operations will continue until at least May 8th.

At this point, we continue to ask patients not experiencing discomfort to reschedule for a later date, but we are available for new or worsening problems. We have also expanded our telemedicine offerings for consultations. If you are concerned about a new issue, but don't feel comfortable coming into the office, let us know. Updates will be posted here and on our website. Stay safe everyone!

The health and safety of our patients and employees has always been our primary concern. Based upon the guidance of the CDC and local officials, Academy Chiropractic Center has instituted a disaster action plan and will be operating with significantly reduced patient availability until at least March 27th 2020. For patients being seen during this period, the following steps are being taken:

• Patient appointments are being significantly limited to control the number of personnel in the office at any one time.
• All Tuesday patient hours are discontinued until further notice to allow for an extensive and full cleaning of the office between each treatment day.
• All late cancellation fees have been waived due to the uncertain nature of events
• Cleanliness has always been a core value of our office and we know that it has never been more important than right now. As such, sanitization protocols have been re-examined and increased
• Patients experiencing symptoms such as cough, fever or shortness of breath will not be seen for therapy. Call the office to reschedule your appointment if you experience any of the above symptoms and contact your primary care provider.
• For our patients experiencing new or worsening musculoskeletal complaints during this time, especially those who are in the COVID-19 risk groups, who do not wish to come into the office: We will be available to offer guidance, advice and home care. Please call the office and leave a message or email us. We will get back to you as soon as possible.

Along with the rest of the world, we continue to monitor developing situation that COVID-19 presents. Our primary concern is the health and wellness of our patients and while we remain open, we are currently taking the following measures:
- Due to the uncertain nature of events, we are waiving any fees for no-shows and late-cancellations as we realize that unexpected difficulties may arise.
- We are asking all patients who are exhibiting respiratory symptoms or fever to contact the office in order to postpone their appointments.
- Surface disinfection of high contact areas has been increased to prevent the spread of germs

Our office will continue to heed the advice of local and federal authorities and will post further updates here and on the news section of our website. We thank you for your help in keeping our community healthy.
