Fascia is the connective tissue in the body; it surrounds every structure in the body and there are many layers of it, creating a 3-D web. This is where postural habits, compensation patterns, and emotional pain are held in the body. No two fascial tension patterns are the same since each person has their own set of life experiences.
In a myofascial release session, postural imbalances are assessed, and the fascial tension is addressed by working into the resistance barrier of the tissues and waiting there until the body to begins to make changes. This creates an opportunity for the body to rebalance itself.
Clients have commented that they feel lighter, have increased range of motion, can sit up/ stand taller, feel more balanced, feel deeply relaxed, and have reduced pain.
