Blue Banyan Yoga Blue Banyan is a vibrant yoga community located in the Mt. Airy section of Philadelphia. Blue Banyan Yoga is a vinyasa yoga studio and school in the heart of Mt.

Airy Philadelphia, established in 2006. Blue Banyan Yoga offers and designs yoga programs for persons in all stages of life to create yoga that meets you where you are; at home, work, in all stages of life and for all levels. We believe that everyone can benefit from the practice of Yoga- no exceptions. These programs include:

• Kids, Tween, and Teen Yoga
• Yoga for Aging Populations
• Special Events (i.e. birthday parties, bridal parties, girls’ night out, etc..)

Awareness is at the center of the yoga practice, and this series emphasizes subtle awareness to strengthen, stretch, and coordinate all parts of the physical core. Slowing down and simplifying movements, pacing the breath, and finding the right amount of intensity are the guiding principles. 

This series teaches fundamental techniques of breath and engagement for core strength. Learn both isolated core exercise as well as strategies for core control in whole body movements. Learn how to incorporate the bandhas into core engagement.
