Griffin, MD, an innovator in the field of hair replacement surgery, has been practicing Dermatology and Dermatopathology since 1989, which has allowed him to amass a significant amount of experience. His in-depth knowledge of underlying pathology of skin disease is significant in the treatment of hair loss of all types. He has been treating pattern and genetic hair loss in men and women throughout
his entire career both surgically and non-surgically. Dr. Griffin's expertise in the field of hair replacement has culminated in the development of The Griffin Hair Restoration Center of Philadelphia. The latest advancement in hair replacement technology, ARTAS robotic hair transplantation, has been brought by Dr. Griffin to the Center as the first of its kind in the entire region. Robotic technology has been shown to be the most efficient way to harvest hair follicles for transplantation. Dr. Griffin considers hair replacement to be an art form and prides himself on being able to create a natural appearance that will last a lifetime. Dr. Griffin graduated from the University of Notre Dame and Jefferson Medical College. After completing Dermatology and Pathology residencies at Temple University, he became triple board certified in Dermatology, Dermatopathology, and Pathology. He has served as president of The Pennsylvania Academy of Dermatology Surgery, The Philadelphia Dermatology Society, and the Dermatology section of The Philadelphia Physicians. He currently has teaching appointments at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, PCOM, and Drexel College of Medicine.
