We’re proud to celebrate 295 Temple Health physicians named to Philadelphia Magazine’s “Top Doctors” list for 2026!

This recognition, nominated by peers across the region, reflects the expertise and dedication our physicians bring to patients every day, across our hospitals and community practices.

“Temple Health is proud to see nearly 300 of our physicians recognized as Top Doctors by Philadelphia magazine,” said Abhi Rastogi, MBA, MIS, President and CEO of Temple Health. “This distinction reflects our continued ability to attract exceptional medical talent and reinforces the strength of our clinical teams. Most importantly, it’s a meaningful win for our patients, who benefit from access to safe, high-quality care delivered by many of the region’s leading physicians.”

Temple Health – Chestnut Hill Hospital hosted an appreciation event with State Senator Art Haywood and State Representative Tarik Khan in recognition of their role in securing $400k in Commonwealth funding which will be used to upgrade mammography equipment for the Women’s Center at Chestnut Hill Hospital.

"Investments like this allow our physicians and clinical teams to detect health issues earlier, which can lead to better outcomes for patients,” said Abhinav Rastogi, MBA, MIS, President and CEO of Temple Health. “Put another way: there’s a straight line from a budget item in Harrisburg to a life-saving early diagnosis for one of our neighbors.”

The event also provided an opportunity to formally recognize and celebrate Cindy Zimmerman, DNP, RN, Clinical Nurse Manager in the Chestnut Hill Hospital Emergency Department, who received a citation from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for helping save the life of a driver in distress on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Members of the Temple Health - Chestnut Hill Hospital ICU team recently spent time at Howie's House, preparing and serving dinner for 50 guests staying there while their loved ones receive care.

It was a meaningful opportunity to connect, learn more about the experience of families staying at the house, and support them in a small but impactful way.

We’re grateful to our team for showing up with compassion and care both inside and outside the hospital.

When battling cancer, every minute counts. Getting patients scheduled quickly and efficiently for infusion treatments, and minimizing wait times once they’ve arrived, is critical—which is why Temple Health recently started using an automated scheduling template generator across its infusion centers.

The result: faster access to care and improved infusion center utilization.

The tool was first launched at Fox Chase Cancer Center at Chestnut Hill Hospital, where scheduling efficiency has already increased and more patients are receiving the treatments they need each day.

When a driver went into medical distress on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, a Chestnut Hill Hospital - Temple Health nurse didn’t hesitate to act.

On her way home from work, Cindy recognized the signs of agonal breathing and began CPR while two Turnpike employees assisted, and first responders were on the way. The driver was later discharged and is recovering.

For Cindy, being a nurse extends beyond the walls of the hospital. And she’s quick to credit the teamwork that made the outcome possible — the Turnpike employees who stopped first and the coordinated response that followed.
