Prioritizing rest isn’t a luxury. It’s part of the care plan. 💙

reminds us that prevention, education, and specialized care matter.

Today, we highlight the importance of early prenatal care, especially for individuals pregnant after a solid organ transplant.

For transplant recipients considering pregnancy: timing, stable graft function, and medication management are essential. With the right support, successful pregnancies are achievable. Careful monitoring and teamwork between transplant and obstetric providers make all the difference. 💙💚

If you have questions about growing your family after transplant, please contact the Transplant Pregnancy Registry International. https://www.transplantpregnancyregistry.org/

For over three decades, the Transplant Pregnancy Registry International (TPRI) has been studying pregnancy post-transplant and stands as the longest-running voluntary pregnancy registry of its type in the world. The success of the TPRI is due in large part to the willingness of the transplant community to help others by sharing their journeys to parenthood.

All post-transplant outcomes are important. We are grateful to those who participate in the TPRI, and welcome anyone who has had a pregnancy post-transplant or has fathered a pregnancy post-transplant to register. We appreciate those registered who let others know about the TPRI’s important and meaningful work. By registering, you are helping not only those who may be planning a pregnancy post-transplant, but you are also helping healthcare professionals and others in the transplant community who may have questions and are seeking information about pregnancy post-transplant.

You can contact the TPRI at any time by phone, email, or website contact form. For additional information and the link to register, please visit: https://www.transplantpregnancyregistry.org/

During , let’s raise awareness about the connection between pregnancy and heart health. ❤️

Preeclampsia is a serious blood pressure disorder that can happen during pregnancy or postpartum. According to the 2024 TPRI Annual Report, about 30% of female kidney recipients and 20% of female liver recipients reported preeclampsia in their pregnancies post-transplant. In female heart recipients, about 25% of recipients reported preeclampsia in their pregnancies.

Your heart health matters. ❣️

✔️Know the signs of preeclampsia.
✔️Monitor your blood pressure.
✔️Advocate for your care.
