Researchers in our lab at the University of Pennsylvania are trying to understand how depression develops during the transition to menopause. They are looking for women between the ages of 45 and 52 who are currently experiencing symptoms of depression who would be willing to participate in a study looking at fluctuations in reproductive hormones and sleep timing over the course of approximately 6 weeks. Two in-person visits at our University campus are required, but the bulk of the study is conducted at home. Participants receive compensation for participation. A lot of people don’t know this but the blue light that is emitted from electronic devices can be damaging to your eyes. Using them right before bed can disrupt your sleep so it’s recommended to stop using them at least 30-60 minutes before bed. You deserve the best sleep that you can get!
