Lisa Pangborn, representing Belmont Behavioral Health System, had a great time this past Saturday at the annual NAMI Philadelphia Walk, held at the historic Friends Hospital campus.

With nearly 400 participants and over 60 teams in attendance, this year’s walk was a powerful reminder of the strength and unity within the mental health community. Lisa is pictured here with Amy Federer, Director of Operations at National Alliance on Mental Illness - Philadelphia (NAMI Philly), celebrating the shared commitment to raising awareness and supporting those affected by mental illness.

We’re honored to stand alongside NAMI Philadelphia and so many others who continue to advocate for mental health every day.

During Depression Awareness Month in October, we take time to focus on education and understanding. Major depression continues to affect more than eight percent of adults each year, making it a major public health concern. Symptoms may include persistent sadness, loss of interest in activities, changes in sleep or appetite, and difficulty concentrating. Recognizing the signs is an important step toward support and recovery.

Our Belmont DEI Committee truly hit the ball out of the park with our first Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk. The event was held at three different times throughout the day, allowing as many employees as possible to come together in support, reflection, and hope.

One of our organizers, Michelle Gordon, our Director of Admissions, poured her heart into bringing this event to life. She dedicated the walk to her late mother, Marilyn Gordon, a woman whose strength, grace, and resilience continue to guide and inspire Michelle every day. This walk was not only a tribute to her mother’s memory but also a reminder of the power of community and love in the face of loss.

Happy National Case Management Week! 💙

This week, we proudly celebrate the Case Managers at Belmont Behavioral Health System who play such an important role in the care and well-being of our patients. Their teamwork, compassion, and dedication help connect individuals and families to the resources they need for continued success beyond our walls.

We are grateful for the meaningful impact they make every day in both our hospital and the community. Thank you for all that you do!
