Rest In Peace Cadillac Ed. Thank you for all of your years of helping our residents at Good Friends, Inc. You will be missed by many. Details of the services are listed below.

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Edward Harkanson

Edward "Cadillac" Harkanson, passed away peacefully after a brief illness, he was 73. Born in Abington to the late Edward and Deloires, Ed spent many years working as a Roofer. A member of AA for over 26 years, Ed loved to help other people and especially to help someone get to a meeting. He truly enjoyed being around his grandchildren and spending time with his Lily doing all types of activities but especially shopping. Ed was a huge fan of Philadelphia Sports, especially the Phillies and the Eagles. He enjoyed meeting up with his friends and you could always find him at Giant or spending time with his beloved cat Boots. One of his most memorable lines he would always say was " Life ain't always roast beef and blueberry muffins".

Ed will be missed by his sons Eddie (Amber), Tom (Rachel), and Joey Harkanson. His cherished siblings Bernie (Nedine) Harkanson and sister Bonnie. His beloved daughter, whom God sent to him later in life Katrina (Steve) Buckreis and his cherished grandchildren, his best friend Lily, Alyssa, Dempsey, Bailey, Beatrix, Eivin and Brandon.

Relatives and friends are invited on Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 10am until 12pm at Faust Funeral Home Inc. 902 Bellevue Ave. Hulmeville, PA 19047 to share memories of Ed's life. Interment Private. The family requests that all those in attendance wear Phillies and Eagles gear in Ed's Honor. Please congratulate Megan Schell on earning this prestigious award from Knights of Columbus Council #3673 - Holy Trinity Morrisville. This well deserved!

Great job Megan!

On Wednesday evening, the Council presented Megan Schell, Food Service Manager at Good Friends, Inc., with our Family of the Month award. Megan has been instrumental in coordinating help for the Council for various events and programs, including this past May with the national letter carrier food drive where 36,000 lb of food was collected throughout the 19067 zip code. We thank Megan for everything she has done to organize help, join us in these events and programs, and for her continued support of our Council, Parish, and community. Megan was joined by her two sisters and members of the House at Good Friends for the award presentation.

Good Friends residents help the Knights of Columbus at many Council events which is a very positive way for them to support the community and be connected with our Council. We, in turn, support Good Friends residents by providing transportation to and from Sunday Mass at Holy Trinity. The Knights believe if these men rekindle their faith it will provide a lasting, firm foundation for a permanent sober life-style. Brother Knights over the years have also provided assistance in preparing residents to take GED tests. If you are interested in learning how you can become a Knight of Columbus and serve Holy Trinity Parish and the greater Morrisville communities, ask us how or join us at an upcoming business meeting or event.

🔁 Life Unites Us

Addiction is a complex chronic condition involving many factors. But one thing that doesn’t factor in is someone’s personality. It’s not a matter of strength or “having an addictive personality.” Just like diabetes can happen to anyone, so can addiction. Treating addiction like any other medical condition helps more people get better.
