Located in the historic heart of Philadelphia, The Terrace at Chestnut Hill offers a unique community for both personal and memory care residents to call home.

At the Terrace at Chestnut Hill, walking gardens, an inspiring library, incredible chef-prepared meals, art and music rooms can be enjoyed by all. A variety of accommodating floor plans are available including studio private and companion apartments, wheelchair accessible plans, and personal care apartments with kitchenettes. The facility offers a handful of activities such as low-impact aerobics and strength training.

This month, we are proud to shine our Assistant Living Resident Spotlight on the lovely Ms. Maude!

Born on November 25, 1953, and raised on 5th Street in South Philadelphia, Ms. Maude is a woman of strength, faith, and wisdom. She was married to the late Herbert Harvey Jr., and although she never had children of her own, she has always cherished her close-knit family, including one sister and two brothers on her mother’s side, and two brothers on her father’s side.

Ms. Maude attended both George Washington and Shaw Bertram High Schools before furthering her education at Community College, where she studied science and English. She went on to work at Temple Hospital, handling paperwork for the neurosurgery department—an impressive role she took great pride in.

A woman deeply rooted in faith, Ms. Maude loves the Lord with all her heart, mind, body, and soul. We are honored to have her as part of our community, and we celebrate her life and legacy this month!

We’re thrilled to celebrate Ms. Teresa from our Housekeeping Team as our July 2025 Spark of the Month!

Born and raised in the Nicetown neighborhood of Philadelphia, Teresa’s talents began to shine early. She was an enthusiastic member of her school’s sewing club and cooking classes, and she proudly cheered on her high school sports teams as a spirited cheerleader.

As an adult, Teresa built a loving family and is the proud mother of two wonderful children—her daughter and son. Her heart beams with love for her two granddaughters, and her great-grandson, who is her pride and joy.

Teresa has been part of The Terrace family for nearly four years and brings warmth and kindness to her work each day. She treasures her daily interactions with our residents, always ready for a friendly chat or a shared smile.

Outside of work, Teresa enjoys dancing, attending musicals, plays, and live concerts. Her energy, dedication, and joyful spirit make her a true gem in our community. Congratulations, Teresa—you light up The Terrace!

From planting and potting to creating seasonal garden-inspired crafts, Kaitlyn brings creativity, joy, and therapeutic benefits to our community through these meaningful sessions. 🌻 Her warm spirit and fun projects always leave our residents smiling — and often with a beautiful plant to care for!

We even take to the skies with Let’s Fly Kites for Dad! This afternoon, the fun continues with Bingo with the Boys and cheering on the Phillies as they battle the Blue Jays! We are winding down the day with Sips & Stories: A Father’s Day Happy Hour, sharing more cherished memories and laughs.
