As the New Year approaches, Black Men Heal is proud to partner with the PA Department of Drugs and Alcohol Programs for the “Get Help 2025” campaign — reminding our community that your life, your health, and your future matter.

This time of year can bring reflection, pressure, and increased alcohol use. Black men continue to face higher rates of alcohol-related harm and overdose deaths, while also being less likely to receive treatment due to stigma and barriers to care. As we move toward a new chapter, we want to say clearly: don’t let alcohol take you out of the picture.

At Black Men Heal, we know that substance use is often connected to unhealed trauma, stress, and emotional pain. Our mission is to provide culturally-responsive healing spaces so Black men can get support, build healthier coping strategies, and step into the new year whole — not hurting in silence.

If you or someone you love needs support, call the PA Get Help Now Helpline: 1-800-662-HELP (4357).
It’s free, confidential, and available 24/7, 365 days a year.

This holiday season, Black Men Heal is proud to partner with the PA Department of Drugs and Alcohol Programs for the “Get Help 2025” campaign — reminding our communities that support is available, even during the most difficult times of the year.

The holidays can intensify stress, grief, loneliness, and substance use. Black men already face higher rates of alcohol-related harm and overdose deaths, yet are less likely to receive treatment due to stigma and barriers to care. During this season, reaching out can feel especially hard — but it is also especially important.

At Black Men Heal, we believe healing should never be seasonal. Our mission is to create culturally-responsive pathways to care so Black men can process pain, reduce harmful coping, and move toward wellness — not just during the holidays, but year-round.

If you or a loved one needs support, call the PA Get Help Now Helpline: 1-800-662-HELP (4357). It’s free, confidential, and available 24/7, 365 days a year.

You are not alone this season. Help is here. Healing is possible.

Please be safe, spend meaningful time with your loved ones, and don’t forget to carve out space to care for your mental health—it matters.

Black Men Heal is honored to partner with the PA Department of Drugs and Alcohol Programs for the “Get Help 2025” campaign — a statewide effort ensuring that individuals and families can access treatment when they need it most.

Across the country, Black men face higher rates of alcohol-related harm and overdose deaths, while also being less likely to receive support due to stigma, limited access, and cultural barriers. These realities make accessible, culturally-informed care more critical than ever.

At Black Men Heal, our work centers on healing the emotional wounds that often sit beneath substance use. By providing safe spaces, free therapy, and community support, we help men address the trauma that can lead to addiction and disconnection.

If you or someone you care about needs support, call the PA Get Help Now Helpline at 1-800-662-HELP (4357) — available 24/7, year-round with trained professionals ready to connect you to resources.

No one has to struggle alone. Healing starts with a single call.

Black Men Heal is proud to partner with the PA Department of Drugs and Alcohol Programs for the “Get Help 2025” campaign — expanding access to life-saving treatment and support for individuals and families across Pennsylvania.

Substance use continues to disproportionately affect Black men. Studies show that Black men experience higher rates of alcohol-related illness and overdose deaths, yet are significantly less likely to receive treatment due to stigma, limited access, and systemic barriers.

At Black Men Heal, we understand that unaddressed trauma often fuels substance use. Our mission is to provide culturally-responsive healing spaces so Black men can process pain, build resilience, and choose healthier pathways forward. This partnership supports that mission by ensuring more men get the help they deserve.

If you or someone you love needs support, call the PA Get Help Now Helpline: 1-800-662-HELP (4357) — available 24/7, 365 days a year with trained professionals ready to assist.

Happy Thanksgiving from Black Men Heal! 🧡

Today, we pause to give deep thanks for our incredible team, funders, sponsors, partners, providers, and of course, our powerful community of Black men who trust us to walk alongside them on their healing journeys.

We are especially grateful for every king who continues to show up for himself—who chooses not to give up, even while carrying the weight of struggles and battles that often go unseen. Your strength, vulnerability, and willingness to heal inspire us every day.

We also know the holidays can be a tender and difficult time for those who have experienced loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone missing a loved one today. May you feel comfort, love, and support in whatever way you need.

Wishing you all a safe, meaningful, and restorative holiday. 🧡
With gratitude,
Black Men Heal

👈🏾 Keep swiping — because these facts might just save a life.

November is recognized as Men’s Mental Health Month — a time to shed light on the silent battles our brothers face every day.

💭 Over 6 million men experience depression.
💔 Too many go undiagnosed — trapped behind stigma and silence.
🕯️ And every single minute, somewhere in the world, a man dies by su***de.

It’s time we stop telling men to “man up.”
Instead, let’s teach them to speak up — in safe spaces of community, connection, and healing.

At Black Men Heal, we’re dedicated to providing real mental health support and free therapy sessions for men of color — by providers of color.

Visit www.blackmenheal.org to learn more about our programs and how you can support our mission to make healing accessible for every brother.
