Dr. Cheyenne Bryant recently spoke on The Jennifer Hudson Show about something we don’t talk about enough — the lack of safe spaces for Black men to be vulnerable, to open up, and to truly heal.

Too often, the stigma in our community forces men to suffer in silence… and we’re seeing the consequences of that in the rising number of su***des among Black men.

At Black Men Heal, this is exactly why we do what we do.

Our Founder & CEO, Tasnim “Taz” Sulaiman, shares how we are actively creating spaces where Black men can show up fully — without judgment.

From our weekly King’s Corner virtual sessions, to live wellness events, workshops, hikes, support groups, and free 1-on-1 therapy with clinicians of color — this is about more than conversation. This is about saving lives.

If this speaks to you, tap in.

As we close out Women’s History Month, Black Men Heal proudly honors Sherita Settles.

Sherita is a Licensed Counselor and the monthly host of our Heal With Him space — a space created for women, sponsored by Black Men Heal, and dedicated to building community, connection, and meaningful conversation. Through her leadership, women are able to gather, reflect, and be in dialogue around healing, relationships, and the collective work that impacts us all.

We are deeply grateful for Sherita’s presence, care, and commitment to holding space for women within this movement.

As we conclude this month, we also want to thank all of the incredible women we’ve recognized — the shoulders and building blocks of this organization. Your leadership, compassion, and belief in this work make everything we do possible.

And to the women who follow us, share our content, refer us to the men in your lives, and truly believe in our mission — thank you.

You are a part of our story. You are a part of history.
And you are helping reshape the narrative around Black men, their power, and their mental health.

As we continue recognizing the incredible women who help power the mission of Black Men Heal, today we honor Edie King.

Edie serves as both a provider and Program Coordinator, playing a dual role in supporting the men we serve and helping our programs run with care and intention. Through her work as a clinician, she creates space for healing, growth, and honest conversations. Behind the scenes, her coordination helps ensure that our services remain impactful, organized, and accessible.

Her ability to balance both direct care and program leadership makes her an essential part of how we deliver on our mission.

We are grateful for Edie’s dedication, compassion, and continued contributions to Black Men Heal.

Thank you for helping us make healing possible.

Huge shoutout to for hosting an incredible “Color of Wellness” event this past weekend in Philadelphia — creating a powerful, safe space for our community to access free mental health resources, support, and healing.

We’re deeply grateful to the organizers and sponsors who made this day possible. This is what it looks like when a community comes together with intention.

A special moment for us: our fearless leader, Taz, was honored with the prestigious Mahogany Award. This recognition reflects the impact of the work happening every day at Black Men Heal — creating access, fostering healing, and opening doors for Black men and our communities.

We don’t take this lightly. We carry it with purpose.

👈🏾 Keep swiping — because these facts might just save a life.

November is recognized as Men’s Mental Health Month — a time to shed light on the silent battles our brothers face every day.

💭 Over 6 million men experience depression.
💔 Too many go undiagnosed — trapped behind stigma and silence.
🕯️ And every single minute, somewhere in the world, a man dies by su***de.

It’s time we stop telling men to “man up.”
Instead, let’s teach them to speak up — in safe spaces of community, connection, and healing.

At Black Men Heal, we’re dedicated to providing real mental health support and free therapy sessions for men of color — by providers of color.

Visit www.blackmenheal.org to learn more about our programs and how you can support our mission to make healing accessible for every brother.
