Thereās something powerful about the people who stand by you when you take a leap of faithālike starting your own business. When I launched City Hydration, I could tell you exactly who showed up for me (and probably who didnāt). But no one stood by me quite like my sister, Casey. She didnāt just stand with meāshe reached out and pulled me up. All the way up to the back room of her little chiropractic office, where she gave me space rent-free, guilt-free, and always with a free cup of coffee in hand.
Those early days were tough. The city didnāt have a hydration lounge before I openedāand honestly, some days it didnāt seem like it had interest in one either. Appointments were few, but Casey filled the empty time with pep talks, business ideas, and cold calls to her Philly connections. She poured just as much of herself into my dream as she did into her own. She cared just as much about my success as she did her own. She was (and still is) my cheerleader, my emotional support, my mentor, and my best friend.
When she closed her practice in 2022, many assumed she was stepping away from chiropractic. Quite the contrary. I think she simply found a focus on a skill few possess and decided to change courseāsomething many would be too afraid to do. Iām not sure if she was afraid. Maybe she didnāt fully know how long or hard the road ahead would be. But thatās also the beauty of not knowing.
Anywayāthis post is for my sister.
In our Bio is a link to something Casey createdāsomething sheās poured her heart, soul, and countless hours into perfecting. She doesnāt need the spotlight, but this is my way of reaching out and pulling her up, just like she once did for me. Iāve had the privilege of watching her build this, and I couldnāt be prouder.
So, without further ado⦠for those of you ready to sleep better, let me introduce you to One Sheep, created by my sister, Casey DāArcy.
