“Everywhere, aways, and in everything, Know. this: the Self alone exists.

Everything, both the Void and the manifested world, Is nothing but my Self; of this I am certain.”

- song of the avadhut

“To wake up to the truth that I need nothing at all to be internally happy, that in fact constantly following external stimuli separate me from myself, is tapas.

The more we believe we need certain things, the more we will be dependent on them. The simpler we can be, the freer we will be. Simplicity makes the body strong and healthy, and the mind calm and focused.

It is the foundation of self-knowledge, since it means giving up the lie that anything but self-knowledge can make us permanently happy.”

-Gregor Maehle

“Day will be erased in night.
The grounds surface will extend outward.

The new moon will be swallowed in eclipse, and the mind in meditation

will be completely absorbed by the Void inside it. “
