Today’s the day! Temple Health has officially opened inpatient services at the new Temple Women & Families Hospital at Castor and Wyoming Avenues.

Starting this morning at 8 a.m., all maternity, labor and delivery, and neonatal ICU services are now located at Temple Women & Families Hospital. Childbirth services are no longer offered at Temple University Hospital.

“Temple Women & Families Hospital is the only hospital dedicated to women and babies in the Philadelphia region. We are committed to providing comprehensive healthcare services in an accessible, approachable setting,” said Sharon Kurfuerst, Executive Director of Temple Women & Families Hospital.

This state-of-the-art hospital was designed to make women and families feel at home—with private postpartum rooms, a premier neonatal ICU, and innovative programs to support moms and babies every step of the way.

More than just a new space, this hospital represents a commitment to trusted, compassionate care — all in one convenient location offering OBGYN, family planning, family medicine, and pediatrics.

Starting September 3 at 8 a.m., all baby deliveries for Temple Health will take place exclusively at the new Temple Women & Families Hospital, located at Wyoming and Castor Avenues.

Deliveries will no longer occur at Temple's Main Campus or any other Temple location.

Temple University Hospital – Jeanes Campus, with the support of the Anna T. Jeanes Foundation, is now accepting applications for the 2026 Community Grant Program!

Each year, this program awards funding to local nonprofit organizations whose projects promote health and wellness across Northeast Philadelphia and surrounding communities.

✅ Eligible projects must take place in or serve one of several designated ZIP codes.
✅ Applications are open through September 15, 2025
✅ Nonprofit organizations are eligible to apply

“These grants bring Jeanes Campus’s commitment outside of our walls and into the communities we serve,” said Elly Reinhardt, Chair of the Jeanes Campus Community Advisory Board.
