A powerful story of an incredible gift.

When Megan was diagnosed with Nutcracker syndrome, her care journey at Temple Health led her to a life-changing decision to become a living kidney donor.

Her kidney went to Evelyn, a teenager with kidney disease in need of a transplant after years of dialysis at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children. Though they were strangers, they are now forever connected.

At Temple Women & Families, preparation is a priority.

As we get ready to open our new hospital, our teams have been running detailed clinical simulations to ensure we’re ready for anything that comes through our doors—from OB emergencies to surgical events.

“These dry runs mean everyone will know what they’re doing inside and out by the time we have our first patient,” says Dr. John Kissko III, Anesthesia Site Chief at Temple Women & Families and Director of the High Risk Obstetric Anesthesia Clinic, who is leading this work.

It’s all part of our commitment to providing the highest-quality, safest care—right from day one. Learn more about the series of simulations we developed: https://bit.ly/43sWFPO
