Attachment styles play a significant role in how we communicate, navigate conflict, and experience connection in relationships.

Many couples struggle not because of a lack of compatibility, but because of differences in how they seek closeness and respond to stress. Understanding these patterns can help shift relationships from frustration to clarity and connection.

In our latest blog, we explore how attachment styles impact relationships and how couples can work through these dynamics.

Why do some relationships feel like a constant push and pull? Why does one partner crave reassurance while the other needs space? If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone, and more importantly, this doesn’t mean your relationship is doomed.

When people think about eating disorder treatment, the focus is often on food, nutrition plans, and body image work. While these are essential parts of recovery, they don’t always address the deeper emotional roots driving disordered eating.

For many individuals, eating disorders are closely connected to unresolved trauma, negative self-beliefs, and difficult past experiences.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a structured, evidence-based therapy that helps the brain process these underlying experiences.

EMDR can help identify and process past experiences that may have contributed to the development of eating disorder behaviors.

In our latest blog, we explore how EMDR therapy can:
• Help process the experiences behind disordered eating
• Reduce emotional triggers
• Shift negative self-beliefs
• Support greater self-compassion

When most people think about eating disorder treatment, they imagine conversations about food, nutrition plans, and body image work. And while those elements absolutely matter, lasting recovery often requires going deeper into the painful memories, beliefs, and emotional wounds that quietly drive di

Many people are experiencing a quiet sense of loneliness right now, even if it isn’t always talked about openly.

Loneliness doesn’t necessarily mean being alone. Often, it’s the feeling of being unseen or emotionally disconnected, even in the presence of others.

Understanding why loneliness happens (and recognizing that it’s a shared human experience) can be an important first step toward finding more meaningful connection in our lives.

If you're ready to talk about your experience with loneliness, schedule a free consultation with us today.

The "Loneliness Epidemic" has become one of the most talked about topics in our society. About half of U.S. adults report experiencing loneliness, and its effects extend into our overall well-being.

But loneliness doesn't always look like isolation, like some would expect.

In our latest blog we explore:

• What loneliness actually is and why it is increasing.
• Five ways to building meaningful connections.
• How therapy can support long-term change.

GLP-1 medications can change how hunger feels in the body. Instead of clear stomach growling or strong appetite signals, hunger may show up as low energy, irritability, difficulty concentrating, or even feeling “off” without knowing why.

In therapy, we can help you learn to recognize these subtler cues so you can stay consistently nourished and connected to your body while using GLP-1 medications.

I share more about this topic on my blog. Link in bio!

GLP-1 medications (Ozempic, Mounjaro, Wegovy, etc.) have supported meaningful appetite regulation and weight loss for many individuals.

While the experience of reduced appetite can feel helpful at first, it can also create confusion about when and how to eat. Over time, relying only on appetite suppression can make it harder to stay consistently nourished or feel connected to the body’s needs.

This is where intuitive eating can help.

Many women using GLP-1 medications have spent years navigating weight-focused messaging that encouraged ignoring hunger or labeling foods as “good” or “bad.” The experience of reduced appetite can feel helpful at first, but it can also create confusion about when and how to eat.

Practicing Presence is just that…a practice. The more we do it the better able our brains are to be steady during the times when we find ourselves in a thought storm of negativity, fear and hopelessness. This is the best mechanism we have available to us to cope with the overwhelming feelings that we are all trying to manage during this difficult time we find ourselves in.
