The ICNA Relief SHAMS clinic is partnering up for Day of Dignity Philadelphia held on Saturday, October 29, 2022 in Center City, Philadelphia. The Day of Dignity provides essentials, food, and health services to those in need. At the health fair, we will have the following services: blood pressure screen, glucose check, podiatry, vision, dental, and general health counseling. The Jefferson MSA and Drexel MSA would like to invite you to our collaborative potluck next week on Wednesday, 09/21/22. This will take place at Lubert plaza (the outdoor quad outside of Hamilton) beginning at 6 pm. This will be a great time to meet students at Jefferson and also network with students from Drexel College of Medicine!

We will be providing pizza but please feel to also bring a treat! There will also be activities set up so please bring your friends to join us for a fun and social evening! We will also be praying maghrib together inshAllah!

Welcome back, everybody! The Jefferson MSA hopes you are well and enjoying your time back on campus!

We will be hosting our first potluck of the school year tomorrow from 6-8pm in the Lubert Plaza (across Hamilton). We will be providing food but feel free to bring a dish! Come out with your friends and meet new and current muslim brothers and sisters in our community!

We hope that this event can foster mentorship between Muslim students in healthcare and healthcare professionals. We also hope that it may show us as students how Muslim healthcare professionals implement their faith into their daily lives. We encourage all students from different healthcare backgrounds to attend! 💊⚕️🩺

We would like to thank everybody that attended our events this semester🙏🏻 We are so happy to see Jeff-MSA grow and it couldn’t be possible without all of you. Alhamdillah for events that can bring us all together. If you didn’t get a chance to attend the events this semester, we’d love to inshAllah see you next semester!

We will be hosting our final event of the semester this upcoming Wednesday, November 17 from 6-8 PM in Bluemle 105. This event will include a guest speaker, Sheikh Arqam Rashid, who will be talking about the values and lessons learned from the Prophet (SAW) and how we can apply those lessons in our future careers. We will also have pre-packaged food provided as well! isA this will be a great end to the semester before people head off on their breaks! We hope to see everyone there!🙏🏻

Thank you to all those that came to our Welcome Back dinner! Our guest speaker, Dr. Zubair Malik, gave a very enlightening speech that hit home for all of us in regards to balancing our professional lives and deen. It was a great time catching up with everyone and meeting new people!

Salaams everyone!

Hope you’re all doing well! Inshallah the Jeff MSA will be having our Welcome Back Dinner next Wednesday, October 2 in the Bluemle Life Sciences Building Rm 107 from 7-9 pm. We will discuss some of our initiatives as a student org and some of our plans for the upcoming academic year. Additionally, we will be having a physician guest speaker, Dr. Zubair Malik. Dr. Malik is an Assistant Professor in Medicine and Director of the Esophageal Program at Lewis Katz School of Medicine. We really hope to see you there and please bring your friends!
