Quick fixes don’t last.
The dollar store gadgets break after a few uses.
The cheap blouse gets a hole in it after a wash.
Diets keeps us losing and gaining the same 20 pounds, over and over.

Quick fixes offer solutions that aren’t intended for the long haul.

And by now, you’ve caught on. You know that diets don’t work. They take away the food, or they teach you there are good and bad foods, without addressing the reasons you’re eating in the first place.

Knowing WHY you eat is more important than WHAT you eat.

And what you eat will change when you understand why.

When I made this connection, my cravings disappeared. I didn’t need to snack. I felt calmer and more present with myself.

Taking charge of your body comes from rekindling a connection to it.
Connection comes from understanding what’s really going on.
Understanding what's going on has nothing to do with good and bad foods, counting points, budgeting for cheat days, or trying to out- exercise food.

Those are outside the body quick fixes.

And I’m saying, go inward. You have this wisdom.

As a mind-body coach, I teach you the tools for reconnecting to yourself. With reconnection, you feel calmer.
You learn how to reach your ideal weight.
Your weight is steady.
No matter how chaotic things around you get, your body is a safe space.

You can be done with struggling with weight and food. What I teach you works because your body knows what to do.

You may think that your body is the problem.
Or that you lack the willpower to do better.

But nothing is wrong with you.

If your body isn’t the problem, then what is?

One place to look for answers is your plate.

If you’re over-busy, you are probably,
grabbing meals on the go.
eating often from a box, bottle, or clamshell carton.
dealing with an expensive dine-out budget.
throwing together last-minute meals.

If you’re confused or not focused on your needs, then
what you’re eating becomes less important.
eating is an afterthought.
you’re eating the same things a lot of the time.
you buy with good intentions, but a lot goes to waste.

AND, when you’re over-busy, overthinking, and anxious, you’ll naturally gravitate toward wine, ice cream, cookies, breads, and chips. (Your brain will actually crave these things.)

Our plates give us clues about our inner and outer experiences.

What this means is that you and your body are just fine.

Instead, your experience is where you need to focus your attention.

And you can change that at any time.

You can change how you treat yourself.
You can make different choices.
You can decide to do things differently.

Starting now.

When you do, the rest will follow.
Your body will follow.
Feeling better will follow.
Change gets easier.

In 10th grade, a lady fitting me for a cheerleading uniform said my hips were too big.

In the 80’s, I remember shopping at The Limited for a size 4 mini skirt, fully aware that model Heather Locklear wore a size 2.

These are memories that have stuck with me.

You probably have some too. And they matter.

Because from a very young age, you and I were taught that body size matters.

We learned that:

Size defines beauty and self-worth.
Happiness hinges on what the tag says.
The goal is to experience ourselves as smaller.

Except that under this set of expectations, we accept:

Trash talking our bodies.
Endless dieting and Spanxing our bodies.
Toughing out migraines, bloat, constipation, etc. thinking it’s just how bodies are.

You see a flawed version of who you really are.

Numbers are arbitrary.
They don’t have to define you.

Putting the numbers in their place changes your experience.

I teach you to experience a new version of healthy, where:

You look in the mirror and think your body’s amazing.
You climb the stairs and feel like you could keep going.
You don't freak out with sticky buns in the house.
Tank tops don’t scare you.

You show up for your life at every size.

Because you see the numbers for what they are—just numbers.
