The PPFS usually meets at 7:30 PM on the first and third Monday of every month at PhilaMOCA.

We'll be carrying on the proud tradition set forth by Psychotronic Film Societies around the globe by screening cult/weirdo/trash films for the locally like-minded. Every second and last Monday of the month we'll meet at 7:30 PM at the Philadelphia Mausoleum of Contemporary Art to watch a feature film. All are invited to attend and contribute suggestions for future screenings, it'll be a programming round robin. And the Psychotronic Film Society tradition of watching films while drinking will be preserved so BYOB is encouraged. http://www.psychotronicphilly.org

The PPFS is officially sanctioned by Brian Thomas, Propaganda Minister of the Sinister for Chicago's Psychotronic Film Society. WARNING: The subject matter of what we've come to know as psychotronic films runs the gamut from talking dogs to violent assaults. We will do our best to warn audiences in advance about films that contain extremely graphic and possibly upsetting content. That said, the very nature of many psychotronic films is to push the boundaries of taste, morals, and patience so always attend at your own risk. Read a history of the Psychotronic Film Society here:

Please raise a glass to longtime PPFS member Sean Burns (front and center), a member since August 29, 2016 who has sadly passed away. His screenings over the years included NEVER TOO YOUNG TO DIE, LEGEND OF THE OVERFIEND, and EMBODIMENT OF EVIL. Sean was a fixture at Psychotronic and at PhilaMOCA in general and we will miss him dearly.

For those who missed it, Psychotronic song and dance man Ben Leach ventured up to Chiller Theater last month to hand the great Eric Roberts his 2024 Psychotronic Award! You may remember that the actor couldn't accept the Best Performance award for STALKED BY MY DOCTOR: PATIENT'S REVENGE in person last year due to being booked on DANCING WITH THE STARS. Let's all hope that the award finds a permanent place on the legend's mantel, and a big "thank you!" to Ben!

We've lost one of our own, and a favorite of many, Psychotronic award-winner Wings Hauser has passed away at the age of 77. Here's a portion of the 18 minute acceptance speech that he recorded for the 2022 Psychotronic Awards. He will be remembered forever!
