Your Heart Health Matters — and Prevention Starts with Screening
Neshoba General encourages adults to stay proactive with routine heart-health screenings. Many heart conditions develop with little to no symptoms, making early detection critical.

Regular screenings can check:
• Blood pressure
• Cholesterol levels
• Blood sugar
• Weight & BMI
• Family history risk factors

Heart disease remains one of the leading causes of death, but it’s often preventable with early diagnosis and lifestyle changes. If it’s been a while since your last check-up. or you have a family history of heart disease, now is the time to schedule an appointment.

Health Topic Presented by Dr. Daud: Tremors in Older Adults
Tremors are becoming more common among older adults. A tremor is an involuntary, rhythmic shaking movement which most often affects the hands.
There are several possible causes, but three common types include:
✔ Physiological Tremor
A mild shaking that can happen with stress, caffeine, or certain medications.
✔ Essential Tremor
Occurs during movement like writing or holding a cup. Often affects both sides and may worsen with stress or caffeine. Treatment options are available.
✔ Parkinson’s Disease Tremor
Usually occurs when the body is at rest and often begins on one side. Over time it may affect movement, balance, and memory.
Tremors can result from many conditions, medications, or other health factors. Evaluation may include an exam, medical history, lab work, and imaging studies.
If you or a loved one is experiencing tremors, please schedule an appointment with your primary care provider or a neurologist. Early evaluation can make a difference.
Your health matters to us. Our Neshoba Neurology Clinic provides comprehensive evaluation, management, and treatment options.
