Owner and Formulator, Andrea Apice, is an Holistic Aromatherapist, Herbalist and Reiki Practitioner who infuses love and universal energy into every product. Each item is made with organic & unrefined ingredients to ensure a healthy & nourishing application. Our herbs are wildcrafted when accessible and organic when purchased. It is important to us that our work is fair and loving to all, therefore NO humans or animals are treated cruel in our process! In addition, we are conscious to the environment with each step- from sourcing ingredients, to decanting our formulations and into our bottling. If you’ve been with us for a while, you already know: tallow has been quietly living in our products for years.

We’ve rarely shout about it (socials isn’t my thing but I’m working on it!) We’ve never made it the star of the show because we love buzzin about our herbs and honey — But it’s been there! In our soaps, in our skincare, in our body care….doing what it does best: nourishing skin in the most honest, elemental way.

Tallow is one of those ingredients that just makes sense.
Skin recognizes it. Drinks it in. Softens under it.
It’s rich in the same fatty acids our skin barrier is made of, packed with vitamins, and has that old time, no-nonsense kind of goodness that we didn’t see the need to make any sugarcoated trendy claims to be effective. If you’ve been using our products, Your skin already knows that!

Now… let’s talk about the thing I’ve been working on quietly, behind the scenes.

I’ve been making my own tallow butters and balms forever, but I never wanted to release anything until it felt right. Until it was elevated enough to belong in our line (our friends kept asking to buy our personal stash!) but I wanted silky, decadent, beautiful… and absolutely not smelling like a freshly flipped cheeseburger, as my man used to say 🤣

& After a lot of batches, a lot of fine-tuning, and a lot of “almost, but not yet”… it finally happened.

✨ Small Business Saturday ✨
As we honor 11 years of this unfolding journey, I find myself reflecting on how quietly it all began—simple batches of soaps and deodorants mixed at our kitchen table, guided by intuition, curiosity, and the gentle nudge of the plants. What started as offerings for friends and family slowly revealed itself as a deeper calling.

The plants became my teachers. Aromatherapy drew me in first, showing me how to distill hydrosols and essential oils; the very breath and spirit of the botanicals. Herbalism opened the doorway wider, and astro-herbalism invited me to see how plants, stars, and the unseen weave together in one shared rhythm.

Mycology and foraging added another layer of wonder, learning to recognize the allies beneath our feet, in the forest, in the quiet places where fungi and wild plants carry ancient wisdom. Those teachings reshaped how I listen, how I make, how I understand the land around me.

And becoming a beekeeper alongside my father rooted everything even deeper. The bees taught me about reciprocity, patience, tending, and the sacred exchange between ourselves and the natural world.

We grow what we can and source as close to home as possible, letting the seasons guide us and the land shape how we create. Every product is a little piece of that relationship—part earth, part spirit, part story.

I’m spilling the tea….
Our herbal tinctures found in our Beekeepers Cabinet Collection are very dear to my heart. Offering herbal remedies has always been apart of HRB but when I moved studios a few years ago, with the overwhelm of that I took a step back from certain offerings. But my heart had longed for the remedies and my community missed them. Therefore, I put a year into the formulas, the growing, the foraging, the hive tending, the extractions, the attention to detail.

Everything we make begins with our relationship to this land. We grow many of our herbs ourselves, tending them through every season and harvesting them at the exact moment their medicine is strongest. Majority of the mushrooms we use are ones we’ve personally foraged, gathered with reverence for the forests that sustain us. Our bee medicine comes from hives we care for daily, a true partnership built on respect.

When a plant can’t be grown or wildcrafted here, we source it from farmers who honor the earth the way we do. With clean soil, ethical harvests, and real stewardship to their land and integrity within their work.

With over a decade of herbal experience, we’ve learned how each plant wants to be extracted for its fullest potency. What solvents are best, what percentages of alcohol for each part of the plant. Every tincture is slow-made in small batches using organic cane alcohol, preserving the depth and vitality of the medicine.

Our work is an ongoing conversation with the land, and each bottle carries that connection. It’s more than just a remedy to us, its away our ancestors moved through the world; listening to the land, gathering by season, honoring the rhythms of nature. Their knowledge lives in our blood and bones, in the memory our bodies still carry. With every batch we craft, we tend that lineage and keep their wisdom alive.
