Sharing this 🌟new guide🌟 that we put together knowing that many people are taking a GLP-1 medication.

It really has created a need for helping people:

• prevent nutrient deficiencies

• manage any side effects (constipation, nausea, fatigue are common ones)

• get ideal body composition results (lose weight in the form of FAT - not muscle) Many people taking a GLP-1 lose a significant amount of muscle mass. Loss in muscle = a slow down in metabolism.

• ultimately build & practice a lifestyle that supports long-term success. This still involves addressing eating related challenges so that you have the tools in place for when you stop the GLP-1.

Your decisions & actions are significantly impacted by your mindset.

For example…if your mindset heading into this weekend is:

“I was “good” all week so I’m going to cheat and not work on things this weekend..”

Your eating behaviors & choices will reflect that.

If your mindset is focused on “all or nothing” your behaviors will also most likely reflect that. Some days you’ll be aiming for 100% and if you can’t do that, you won’t do anything at all.

Knowing how mindset greatly impacts our behaviors, we make sure to address this with our clients through individualized nutrition coaching.

✨Mindset tip:✨ work on a “middle ground” mindset. One where you strive for consistency vs. perfection and give yourself grace!

Starting his career in Social Work, Art spent over 6 years as a Coordinator at a homeless shelter, supporting teenage moms and encouraging them to value themselves and recognize their full potential. Their journey then led them to the field of nutrition and dietetics, where they combined their passion for people with their expertise in healthy living.

With a degree in Psychology from SUNY Albany, a Master’s in Social Work from Yeshiva University, and a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from West Chester University, Art has a rich background that allows them to create personalized, compassionate, and effective health plans. Have you tried multiple diets and find that you’re not able to sustain any results??

Most diet just tell you and what not to eat.

This is part of the problem.

It takes a lot more then what to eat. You need to learn HOW to eat and establish the tools and strategies to manage challenges/changes that impact eating behaviors.

Life is constantly changing. You need to be able to adjust and pivot. When has a diet worked with you on that????

That’s what nutrition coaching with one of our Registered Dietitian coaches help you achieve so you can get results - that LAST!

Wooo!!! Dropping off Pro Lifestyle Nutrition brochures to 3 doctor’s offices tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!

I have been trying to have our practice become a resource for doctors in the area knowing that many do not have a dietitian on staff and knowing that a limited amount of time is typically spent with each patient.

We accept many health plans and are a team of dietitians that can provide the individualized guidance that people deserve to help with improving their health/reaching their wellness/weight goals. There’s so much false and conflicting nutrition info out there. As Registered Dietitians we have years of training in the science of food & nutrition and can help make the process of working on health an enjoyable, manageable one, without all the stress and info overload!

If you have any visits coming up with your primary care doc, please feel free to ask if they’d be open to having me reach out/drop off our brochures to have on hand. We can help doctors help their patients simply by being a resource and again - many insurance plans cover our services!

I am also always looking for other health/wellness professionals that I can recommend to our clients so if you have someone in mind that you’d like to recommend, please let me know

Happy dietitian post:

In about 4 months of working together and by working on lifestyle modifications, my one client’s total cholesterol & LDL is down by 30. Blood sugar has also improved.

Health is moving in a wonderful direction and that make me so happy.

Health is priceless. My hope is for more people to be proactive and not put it in the back seat because so many things/chronic illnesses people end up with are PREVENTABLE.

Life is too short to not make health a priority no matter how busy you are. Make time for health or unfortunately we’re forced to make time for the alternative - illness/not feeling well. And the things we consistently do today impact our future.
