Massage therapy can have a positive impact on your health in many ways, including reducing the pain and frequency of migraines.
Referred pain is pain perceived at a location other than the site of the painful stimulus/ origin. So although, you are having tension within your head, your target area can very well be your neck and shoulder.
Take the time out to stretch/massage your neck. Be sure to lightly massage your temples as well as the base of your skull.
