Meet April 🤍

Diagnosed with stage 2B invasive lobular carcinoma, April’s story included multiple surgeries, a bilateral mastectomy, and a recovery that went far beyond the physical. Through it all, she found her voice—and a purpose rooted in advocacy, movement, and healing.

“Recovery doesn’t end when treatment stops.”

April now uses her experience to support others as a Cancer Exercise Specialist and Certified Lymphedema Therapist, reminding our community that life after cancer can still be strong, joyful, and full of meaning.

It’s a new year and a new 🤍
 Start 2026 by taking a moment to check in with your body.

It’s so do your self-chest check. If you feel something, say something.

1. Know your body, understanding what feels normal to you is the most important

2. Detect something abnormal? Call your doctor to review

3. Any questions of change, be sure to advocate for yourself and ask for additional screening, it’s better knowing vs not

4. If that lump, bump, or skin change leads to a diagnosis, seek out resources to help guide you
