🎉 Let's celebrate our Resident of the Month, Gwendolyn!

Resident of the Month: Gwendolyn C.

It is with great honor that we present our Resident of the Month, Ms. Gwendolyn Campbell. Ms. Campbell was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. She attended Thomas Dunlap Elementary School and also attended Dobbins High School where she obtained her diploma. After high school, she took several courses at La Salle University and Community College.

Ms. Campbell worked for the Federal Government for 22 years and also the City of Philadelphia for seven years. On her jobs she traveled to Saint Petersburg, Georgia, Tennessee, Chicago, Florida and Washington, DC, and to six African countries. Ms. Campbell also worked for the radio station WDAS.

Ms. Campbell has three children, though one of which has passed away, a host of grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Now she resides here at Laurel Square where she enjoys reading, puzzles and living a quiet, peaceful life. It is an honor to name Ms. Campbell as our Resident of the Month.

🎃🚗 Last week's Trunk or Treat event at Laurel Square was a smashing success! Thank you to everyone from the community and staff who participated and made it so special. Our residents were thrilled to be part of the fun, and we had a fantastic time. It's our mission to foster relationships between the families in our community and our rehab, so everyone knows how we can help in times of need.
Special thanks to Jermaine & Kathy for allowing us to host this event at Laurel. We're already looking forward to next year! 🌟

Resident of the Month: Frank

Laurel Square is pleased to announce our Resident of the Month for October is Mr. Frank Mokshefsky III. Mr. Mokshefsky was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, were he attended Mater Del Rosa Elementary School and Jules E. Mastbaum High School. During high school, Mr. Mokshefsky worked after school as an automotive mechanic and worked for at least 10 years after high school.

Mr. Mokshefsky loved to travel and some of the places he went were Tennessee, Texas, Florida and Ohio, where he lived for a short period of time. He has two daughters and one grandson, and a grandchild on the way.

Mr. Mokshefsky also has two sisters, Ms. Patricia and Ms. Kathleen, who love him dearly. His hobbies are building race cars. He now resides here at Laurel Square where he enjoys interacting with residents and staff, listening to music and playing board games. Congratulations, Mr. Mokshefsky.

It is with great honor we present our Resident of the Month, Mr. Alan Mills. Mr. Mills was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. He attended Richard R. Wright Elementary School and Benjamin Franklin High School, where he obtained his high school diploma.

Mr. Mills worked at several jobs, such as carpet installation, and food services, but his passion was being a chef. He loved to travel to Atlanta, Georgia, South Carolina, and Miami, Florida. He has one son and his hobbies were playing football, basketball, soccer, baseball and also fishing. Mr. Mills enjoys crossword puzzles and word find. He loves to listen to music, especially oldies, and he also enjoys dancing.

Mr. Mills now resides here at Laurel Square where he likes socializing with residents and peers. It is such an honor to celebrate Mr. Mills this month. Congratulations!
