Flying Angels had a full weekend of conferences. While Karen and Bob were in Baltimore, Maria Mogos and Chris Davis traveled to Duluth for the ACMA Georgia Chapter Conference. Having our flight nurses represent us at these events is always a highlight, as case managers get the chance to connect directly with team members who have been on the front lines, caring for patients during transports.

Maria and Chris also had the pleasure of meeting colleagues from the air ambulance community, including Bryan Rogers (Med Jets), Abby Peterson (Reva), and Mark Chapman (Medway). A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made Maria and Chris feel so welcomed in Georgia, especially the ACMA National and Chapter staff, along with every attendee, for their warm southern hospitality.

This past weekend, Bob Bacheler and Karen Marie Derr attended the Society of Certified Senior Advisors Conference in Baltimore, where they had the privilege of connecting with senior advisors from across the country. With nearly 80 million Baby Boomers at their peak, this generation, often a focal point of culture and conversation, is projected to be age 65 or older by 2030.

Senior advisors are doing such important work with older adults through their support of families, guiding care decisions, and providing vital education. Flying Angels is proud to complement this mission by ensuring seniors can travel safely when medical support is needed. Together with senior advisors, we help ensure that aging individuals receive the support they deserve at every stage of life.

A heartfelt thank you to the incredible Society of Certified Senior Advisors staff who so beautifully planned and hosted this conference. Your dedication made it a truly meaningful experience for all who attended.

Exciting moments from the Society of Certified Senior Advisors Conference in Baltimore this past weekend!

Flying Angels exhibits at nearly 50 conferences each year, spanning case management, workers’ compensation, rehabilitation, and senior care. Each event gives us the opportunity to connect with incredible professionals who share our passion for helping others.

This past weekend, Bob and Karen joined Certified Senior Advisors from across the country in Baltimore, MD. One highlight was when Heather Evanson Brooks, Owner of "How 2 Age Your Way," sat down with our Managing Director, Bob Bacheler, for an impromptu conversation about how Flying Angels supports patients and families through safe, compassionate medical transport. The role of medical transporters dates back to World War I, when field ambulance drivers in the Royal Army Medical Corps cared for and carried wounded soldiers across Europe. Since then, medical transporters have remained an indispensable part of healthcare. Today, August 20th, we celebrate their vital contributions on the .

At Flying Angels, we are privileged to work closely with medical transporters worldwide, like in the moment pictured here, when we had the honor of helping a patient return home to Guatemala.

While our team carries gratitude in our hearts every day, today we pause to give special thanks to medical transporters, both here in the U.S. and abroad, for their unwavering dedication and commitment. They are the vital link between patients and the destinations where healing can continue.

Today, on the anniversary of Orville Wright’s birthday, we honor the moment that changed history, the Wright brothers’ first successful powered flight in the Wright Flyer of 1903. What began 122 years ago as a fragile wooden craft has grown into the extraordinary world of aviation we know today.

Since 1939, National Aviation Day has recognized the courage and innovation that carried us from the Wright Flyer to our modern skies.
